I purchased a 2000 crown victoria and have fuel leaking out of a black box under neath the car. It's at the back end under the trunk.

This is a P71 Police Interceptor.

I found a picture of what it looks like but can't figure out what it's for or called.

I was assuming it's for the recall they did on these cars because of the rear accidents they were having and the car exploding, but I can't figure out what it's called.

it appears to be a vapor canister, for the evap system
