I appreciate Jack and Lary offering us this forum (DTR). I don't know how some guys here have time to read/post on several different websites. I already spend WAY WAY to much time here... as it is.

As much as I would love to discuss some things (occasionally) that are politically involved......I just don't have time to go over to another website and try to keep up with the discussions there. I have posted a couple of things here on DTR that got locked down because they were to "political" and it was suggested to take it to the other site. Im not arguing about it, but I just don't want to ADD another thing to CHECK everyday to my list.

Personally, I would prefer they just add another "forum" here on DTR that we could check into/post in if we want regarding things that are of a "political" nature.

Get involved in understanding why things are happening the way they are. Take the time to do it, much more important than what we currently are allowed to drive.

Omission is the same as being herded.

I've posted there a few times. I thought I would actually like it but in practice I really didn't. I am open to other ideas but there are actually only a few active posters over there. It gets pretty old arguing the same topic (topics) over and over again. That said, I am pretty much set in my ways and so is most everyone else over there (I'm 38 years old for gods sake). So what good does it do to argue the same topics over and over again? I'm not going to change your mind and I'm pretty sure your not going to change mine.

That being said, I did enjoy the religious discussions but it is usually many days between post so it gets really boring really fast. I'm more of an instant gratification type of guy myself.

Have fun over there though.

Britt

Britt,

I am thinking you might like it better, if you were not always wrong

J/K I know what you mean though, sometimes it seems like the same ideas rehashed over and over again because so many just blindly follow party lines instead of actually formulating their own opinions

There is some good stuff over there and it will obviously crank up as we get closer to election time

I go over and read the posts now and then, and yes, there are some good discussions about many things. Too much re-hash of the same stuff, no one can get out of the mold of the two-party system which is what needs to take place for the sake of our country and it's people. I'm sure it will crank up at election time, might be good entertainment.

Very well put. Unfortunately, I used to be guilty of that myself, though I have turned into much more of an independent than a Democrat or Republican (I don't like either one anymore).

I agree. Plus who has time?! Let's talk about Dodge Cummins Diesel trucks! Keeps the blood pressure down.

Let's open up another forum here on DTR for those every once in a while "to political for DTR"....threads!

aint gonna happen. Discuss politics over there or not at all. I'm not going to build an entire site and then add a forum over here which would essentially defeat the purpose of the other. I must be errrrrrr dumb?
