I went to a local gun outlet and found a nice bushmaster m4a3 and it was about 850 looked to be brand new (not sure), and then went to another store and they had the same one for 1065. The one that is 1065 came with a warranty and one clip and a hard case which seemed to be really nice, then they told me that they would match any price so I might be able to get the 1065 one for 850 plus tax. which seems to be a smoken deal. Now to keep savin
Does that seeem to be a good deal?

Ammoman has this ammo..
Get This "80 Grain 223 Ammo"

I dunno.
Personal opinion here, Colt has a tendency to over size one of their pin holes on their lowers for use with their uppers. This makes changing uppers require a special bushing. DPMS are rumored to be picky on ammo. They like tend to like the better ammo instead of surplus ammo. You can build one starting at about $600.

I was thinking more along the lines of the longer bullet seated deeper causing higher chamber pressures. Thus requiring more room before the rifling starts for the bullet to move some and build less chamber pressure. Kinda along the reason you can fire a .223 in a 5.56 rifle, but not vice versa.

The Wylde Chamber is the best all around chamber for both cartridges.
You will get higher chamber pressures the deeper you seat the bullet. If you shoot higher grain bullets, you will need more powder, and will also have to seat the bullet out further.

I bought 5 boxes of this ammo for my friends Stag.

You can't beat the price. It will be fun to do penetration tests on thick metal. A user said it went through 3/8" Plate like nothing.
He would have rather have an AR15, but can't afford one. The Stag was affordable. Like $750 out-the-door.
Marine,
Answer only if you have time.
Are you guys using the above ammo in Irag & Afganistan?
Your AR15's have a selector swich for single shot and 3 shot burst? A guy said in Vietnam, they had full auto but did away with it.

Actually Stag arms is a clone of the M-16/AR-15 family.
We use SS-109. Lake City, but there are also other manufacturers.
Radway Green is a British company that uses the same 62 gr steel penetrator bullet.
If you look at the Sportsmansguide.com, you will find it WAY cheaper than what you paid, but in an ammo can with 720 rounds.
We have the selector switch for 3 round burst, but also have full auto on some of them.
Force Recon uses Full auto M-4's as well.
