Call Me Gramps??
Yesterday at 1330 local, Noah R. Hunter made his first public appearance.. 6 weeks early but doing fine, and is gonna have to learn to call me Grandpa!! 8 lbs, 18 inches long and uglier than anything ya ever seen
He is in Neo-Natal ICU for at least 8 days, as a precaution due to being preemie, but is healthy and all... I am thrilled!
Poor guy wasn't positioned quit right, so they stuck a vacuum thing on his head to pull it around and he now looks like the creature from ALIEN.. major cone-head
Momma is the daughter of my first partner when I was a rookie, born three days earlier than my own son. Dad took off when she was very young, and she grew up calling me Dad, so I get the title....

Congratulations Grandpa. Welcome to the club, your gonna Love it.
My son had a massive cone head when he was born, just like the cone heads on SNL. It lasted about a month. I remember when I first time held him I was like (**&^$$%) OMG, I could not believe how big his cone was .
They bring an unexplainable joy to your life that only a grand child can, and only a grand parent can understand.
I wish all the best for your family.

Congrats. My 1st was 6 wks premi also and we spent 2 weeks camped in the parking lot of the hospital...not fun but worth it. Glad they are doing well and it won't take him long to catch up. You're right, mine was the most hideous thing I've ever seen but after awhile he grew on me and now he's a pretty good looking kid. I've always been under the impression that a premi was like a runt dog...they usually turn out to be the smartest one of the bunch.

Congrats Chris! My little shadow is coming over this weekend and they learn how. Get ready for a few new feelings in your heart. It's different with grandkids, you just kinda melt and forget what no means.

Congrats on that. I have a long wait before I would be a REAL GRAMPS but I have been called GRAMPS with my own daughter a few times.
Even Santa called me Grandpa when we went to get Santa pix this past Christmas
Pass on our best wishes for Junior and the clan!

Congratulations Gramps! Glad all are doing well. The NICU's do a great job, I designed Incubators for awhile and got to work with some great people.
I also joined the ranks of Pop-Pop on 12/5 (my-our first). It's surely is an amazing thing holding little ones again.
Best wishes
Tom
