buying firearms online?

Is their a good place to research purchasing firearms online?

like a trading site like craigslist whereyou can find other people selling used firearms?

I realize that in my state it must be transfered through a licensed gunsmith. just looking at the prices of firearms localling and jeez!

gunbroker.com is good. Being in CA, be prepared to pay about 75 bucks for the shop to do the transfer for you. I called 3 different places and that was the going rate in the east bay. Be sure to add that to the cost of the gun.

Those are mainly the big 3 auction sites. You'll have to have a person with a FFL to do all the transfer work, unless it's something made or a copy of a gun made prior to 1899 and doesn't shoot fixed ammo.

If you're looking Class 3 stuff, it's a little more complicated.

www.galleryofguns.com They are a network of gun dealers. they pretty much work off a pool of guns, so pretty much any gun is available to any dealer.
