The Nudge is always welcome at my home. Not sure if he qualifies for a hunting license in Ohio. He seems to be a Game Warden attractant as of late.

Morning. Gonna be a good day.
I'm a little worn out though. Yesterday I decided to tackle the unsplit wood in the firewood pile. About nine pieces of real stubborn pecan, about four weirdo mesquite cuts and five large rounds. For the longest time I had tried but failed with the wood splitting maul, the pecan especially. I figured a baby sledge and a wedge might do the trick (can't really buy a nice hydraulic log splitter, but maybe some day). So yesterday, at it with the wedge, maul and 4lb baby sledge. 4lb sledge doesn't sound like much but boy howdy, swinging with one skinny arm and it really exploits the weakness in the hand and forearm. I made the mistake of starting with the pecan. I was gassed on the easier splitting mesquite. Anyway, got five pecan left and a mesquite. I need a straw in my coffee, I'm a little shaky when I hold the mug.
I said today was going to be a good day. It is. Take dog face for a job this morning to remove all that energy. Then hitting up the store for some Texas Rangers duds. Us and friends are hitting the baseball game tonight for the Bark in the Park thing. Where fans get to bring their dogs to the game. It'll be Mr Chester's first game. Hope he has fun. Hopefully you don't see him on the Sport Center highlight reel as he storms the field
Trad, I thought you needed another photo

Now this one has a story to it. As you can see it was getting a little cloudy. That afternoon a storm began rolling in from the west after an absolutely perfect morning and lunch. We had watched the dark clouds move closer but decided to stay and enjoy while the sun was there. We were at North Beach which is the best place out there. So a little while after the photo was taken thunder and lightening started to roll and we high tailed it out of there. We hopped on our golf cart and hurried back to the hotel all the way across the island (all 4 miles of it). It wasn't raining but it was close. Then DH took a wrong turn. I know, took a wrong turn on a half mile wide island
There are only like four roads going north and south and he takes the wrong one. We ended up going through the main neighborhoods which was much slower going that hauling the outside loop (yeah 40kmph was the fast road). We were close to out hotel but not close enough. The skies opened up and we were getting drenched. Then there was a traffic jam with a scooter, two taxis and a horse. We started laughing so hard. The people on sidewalks were laughing at the dumb tourists. It was awesome
We finally got to the gated of our hotel and the guard laughed at us as we checked in. We squealed into our golf cart parking spot and ran inside. As we made our way up the stairs to get to our room we bumped into another couple we had been hanging out with while there. They looked at as and said "We thought that was you guys out there in the rain. Looks like fun".
That was one of the best days there. It felt like we were teenagers again getting into trouble, running around. Must. Do. Again!

Sorry to mess up your plans kiddo, but by 6:30 I was dressed (in my sloppies), had breakfast and had been working in the yard for 45 minutes. Just came in to clean up for an 11am appointment at the bank. Gotta try harder young lady. Besides, it is "cool" (only 79) at that time. It is all ready 83 in the lanai right now. Sure need rain - -desperately. Lakes are going dry, planted and native fields are turning brown, 10' gator in our pond (it has never run dry, but down about 1' right now) eating my tilapia - - ggggrrrrr. Don't need anymore gator tail nor do the neighbors. Hmmmm, buzzards hungry????
OK, off to conquer. Have a gudurn,
Bob
ps: ph00 is marvelous - - thanks Heidi .....

He said sometimes he likes to feel pretty.
And I wondered why that pigeon kept coming around trying to get a sip of our beer
I understand.
Now you know!
Loader just got new sneakers all the way around. My wallet just got $1600 lighter too.
Went and registered the trailer I bought in Mass so we can drag it home in a couple of weeks. That made the wallet another $365 lighter. Any lighter and it'll be gone!
