I still take baths, just without the soapy bubbles ...if I tried to crawl in bed smelling all soapy and clean my wife would shoot me, thinking some alien took me away and I just hatched from a pod somewhere

and yet you wonder why no one will tell you where they live......

Thanks eric for the coordinates! the flowers you sent were lovely.

son came out and helped hubby pull 100 ft of one inch hose, inside four inch solid pipe through 85 feet of heat tunnel and out through the basement walk out doorway. looked like an oil well exploded and all the string pipe was laid over the yard.
my job: i have to insulate and foil wrap the whole mess and stuff it back in the four inch pipe. then we have to stuff that back in the heat tunnel to hook up the new boiler..... oh joy.

got some veggies in the garden so i did something today.

If I weren't, you wouldn't know who I was. Or what to say to me. Or how to act. Or... well, you get the picture.

I met a guy a while back that I've been reading about for 20 years. He's been using that technology to power cars for decades.

Morning troops,

Nice to see things back to normal in the break room.

Rick, Heidi, Fronty, in the break room glad to see them!

Scott and Eric hammering it home, awesome.

Got the invite Eric, thanks. I'll bring the vacuum marinated steaks and the pictures of when we had Marks truck, that ought to be funny!

Heading in for another 24.

Y'all play somewhat nice.

Yep, it's not a new technology, they just haven't perfected it yet. They don't like wood that's not DRY. Or softwoods. Or un-split wood. The only reason it's showing up in boiler applications is because of the EPA. They could be a LOT more efficient than they are now, but they're meeting what the EPA has set for emissions standards. Efficiency claims in the high 80's and low 90's have only been 'proven' on paper so far, but when they become reality, I may have to buy one... or copy one!

TUESDAY, MAY 15th:

Today is National Peace Officers Memorial Day, which honors our fallen law enforcement officers

1862 - The U.S. Congress created the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

1911 - The U.S. Supreme Court ordered the dissolution of Standard Oil Company, ruling it was in violation of the Sherman Antitrust Act.

1916 - U.S. Marines landed in Santo Domingo to quell civil disorder.

1942 - Gasoline rationing began in the U.S. The limit was 3 gallons a week for nonessential vehicles.

1951 - AT&T became the first corporation to have one million stockholders.

1957 - Britain dropped its first hydrogen bomb on Christmas Island in the Pacific Ocean.

1958 - Sputnik III, the first space laboratory, was launched in the Soviet Union.

1970 - U.S. President Nixon appointed America's first two female generals.

1970 - Phillip Lafayette Gibbs and James Earl Green, two black students at Jackson State University in Mississippi, were killed when police opened fire during student protests.

1972 - Alabama Gov. George C. Wallace was shot by Arthur Bremer in Laurel, MD while campaigning for the U.S. presidency. Wallace was paralyzed by the shot.

1975 - The merchant ship U.S. Mayaguez was recaptured from Cambodia's Khmer Rouge.

1997 - The Space shuttle Atlantis blasted off on a mission to deliver urgently needed repair equipment and a fresh American astronaut to Russia's orbiting Mir station.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
The meaning of life is to find your gift - the purpose of life is to give it away.

Coffee's on.
