Bungee Jumping

Any one every been bungee jumping?

I went this weekend, what a rush!

I jump jumped off a bridge called " the bridge to no where" in the Los Angles forrest. It was a 4 1/2 mile hike with 10 cold knee high stream crossing to get to the bridge and then, since I weigh 270# I was one of the last one to jump so we stated our 4 1/2 mile trek out shortly before dark (that was fun) but all in all it was well worth it.

I jumped twice. Any idiot can jump out of a perfectly good airplane once. It takes a real idiot to do it twice!

Did it once about 14 years ago in Panama City Beach Florida. Buddy of mine from my ship lived near there and we went during spring break. He offered to pay for it if I did it, ever one to save some coin, I took him up on the offer. It was from a crane, not as exciting as some other launch points I have seen. It was a rush, I would do it again. I have also accidentally bungeed from a rope swing over a river when the bitter end of the rope wrapped itself around my ankle, unbeknownst to me. Instead of me falling feet first into the water, I was jerked back up into the air upside down and bounced up and down a few times. The bouncing stopped and I was left suspended over the water upside down until the line finally parted. That was interesting and I would NOT try to repeat that again.

Once you came to a stop hanging from the cord how were you raised or lowered to be released.

Over here you can save a lot of cash while bungee jumping if you don't insist on the rubber rope

I tried bungee jumping from my roof one time with a bunch of bungee cords strapped together. Big mistake.

You should have parked your truck in the "landing zone". The concrete bedliner might have cushioned the impact

You know, I think Winkle is just wanting to start something... He waited until 80% of the continent is frozen to ask how many like to bungie jump. Cruel man, really cruel. Bungie cords get brittle in my neck of the woods this time of the year.

I guess I live a sheltered life here in southern Kaliforina, cuz the closest I get to anything frozen is in the form of a T.V dinner .

I would love to try sky diving but every place I've called seems to have a weight limit of 220lbs, which I don't understand cuz I figure If the military can drop tanks from a plane then surely there's a parachute big enough for me.

Before I die, I want to do both. Bungee jump and sky dive. It seems like an incredible rush. I'm not quite brave enough to do it at the county fair. Heard about to many people not "bungeeing" back up once they touched the ground.
