Wink

are you claude's hidden brother?
you are humble but can expound on anything and be expertly correct. scary.

i liked the leinen lemon summer beer , can't remember the name. good stuff though. was just in another post speaking of brews.....tasty!

actually got dressed right for heavy work, did the splitting job well and we took some time off to watch football together. how he puts up with me, is anyone's guess.....even did a 'chinese fire drill' 4 wheeler ride to put the steel cover back on the splitter at halftime, that was fun!!! like kids again. leaving the tractor and splitter in the woods gets the animals curious. nice tracks to see in the snow. biiiiig bobcat coming around for the deer. five inch paw.

rainy day project is FINALLY doing the lower bathroom shower wall. had wearing (peeling)laminate marble look, putting in ceramic tile. only been sitting around for two years.

got really nice email from the white house/homeland security to go to haiti. can't. this sucks. bummed. but like Mexsatn said- Blessed that I don't have what others are dealt. Prayers for them , Matt, Blake and the new DTR guys- SO GLAD YOU POSTED Roger, and friends!!! welcome!!

obvoiusly- have a beer!

So, who is now the old phart? The last time I saw you that little girl was still in the warmer. Now that is how long it has been and it has gone fast. So, friend, too long since we had a cup together.

As for the lanai, my nap out there this afternoon was wonderful -- didn't sleep much last night and it was gorgeous and Bobby laid out - - nope, not in the Speedo but it was my bathing suit, and snored for about 1-1/2 hours. Not normal for me but it was sure nice.

Nuther week under way - - where did the last one go? Wow. Hope ya'll have a great one. No coffee and too late to start some, soooo, I am out of here.

Bob

Thats why I love hunting in Ohio. Its nice to know that when your hunting, you can be sure nothing is hunting you!

When I elk hunt in Colorado, I walk a little bit and look behind me to make sure nothing is following. Kinda scary at night by yourself walking down the mountain to basecamp. Knowing that I only have bow and arrow

I Just Have A Problem With D&r `s Flat Denial Of Their Existance -

Most Out Of Doors People Up Here Know They Exixt & Have Given Up Trying To Give Info To D & R On Them

Wait Until The First Person Is Attacked And D & R Gets Sued

Actually Claude, I believe the DNR has finally been acknowledging them in recent years. A little bit of latent evidence from some down-state sightings. The Fed's are still in denyal. Can you post the story link?

There is an orginization on line that documents everything, he should get a hold of them. My mother saw one crossing the field next to them a few years back in NE Ingham County about 4 years a go. They have other people close to that area making claims in the last couple years. This is from the DNR.

General Cougar Questions

1. Is there a population of wild cougars in Michigan?
Cougars, also called mountain lions, were originally native to Michigan, but were extirpated from Michigan around the turn of the century. The last known wild cougar taken in the state occurred in 1906 near Newberry. There have been periodic reports of cougar sightings since that time from various locations in Michigan. This situation is not unique to Michigan, and has been occurring in many other mid-western and eastern states as well.
In 2004, a hair sample was collected from a vehicle bumper and tested using DNA analysis. That sample was positively identified as cougar.

A recent study based on DNA analysis of scat samples was conducted by Central Michigan University and the Michigan Wildlife Conservancy. That study showed that samples from eight locations tested as positive as cougars.

The additional types of physical evidence that would normally suggest cougars, such as carcasses and verified photos and tracks have not been documented in Michigan
