before we hired a female machinist, there were assorted pinups and calendars around the shop.
Shortly after she was hired, tool boxes got turned around, calendars got smaller, and doors started staying closed when unattended. There are probably a few around taped inside box lids.

well now a days alot of people don't use machinist anymore they go CNC because its cheaper for mass production, we have one that we are tinkering with right now its old but cnc, we will see what we can make.
Evening all
Yes Monday was a good one. Day that is... Just got back from working out. Our instructor just about killed us and she's not even in my will. Her hubby (our main instructor) is in San Diego trying to set up a Do Jang there.
Claude PM me your address and I'll try and get those antlers to you. It might take a week or two but I'll try and do it as soon as I can. Have you any ideas on what to put on them? I guess you need to see them and see how it looks, tines and shape, stuff like that.
Sounds like everyone is pretty chipper for the start of the week. We'll see if that continues past Tuesday morning. Hahaha
Wife is going to Calgary for a funeral Tuesday morning. Brother of a girl she works with passed away because of type1 Diabetes. Going to support her and the family.
See you in the AM...

Night shift in.....
Just have to share the good stuff:
soooooo nice to see hubby and son bond, get all the stuff ready for son's new job, be a good listener, show support and praise for a well done effort and success. They are getting up at 4:30AM. I am not cooking breakfast.
father and son can now figure out how to crack an egg....
REDLEG, I want the wheelchair with pontoons and a rudder. if I catch the most fish, do I have to cook? They do shore dinners up North that fishermen rave about....
like today wasn't going well enough, hubby tossed in some clutter and we took it to the scrap yard. not even seperated , 2 tons (148 bucks for mix).
time to clear out behind the barn and winter's project scrap. nice to see.
FIVERDaddy! Thank you , and true- I should take it easy, working around what I am told to do and what i want to do for meself....(popeye laugh) ugg ugh ugg gug gug....

I want the wheelchair with pontoons and a rudder. i want one too, for i, have always wanted a wheel chair and if it doubles as a boat, sweet, but do the wheels have paddles on them for propulsion or what?
Taters....were boiled with butter and parsley..Had leftover back strap sandwiches for lunch...Roast was done in one of my favorite skillets is a Axford Broil-Rite Broiler, It was passed down to me by my adopted Grandpa, Grant Harrick. A little history, He was the one that built an launched the rocket into Canada during WWII and they went on red alert, he hightailed it into the mountains of the Salmon River. and became a world renowned Cougar hunter and mined Gold. If you guys remember there was a Disney movie called Charley the Lonesome Cougar. Grant had a pet Cougar named Choya, and Charley was her brother. I used to play with them as cubs. Choya was donated to a zoo and Charlie went to Disney, He raised them to about a year old, but they were about 6 foot then. I was about 7-8 and we played all over the place they acted like overgrown kittens an would wrestle me to the ground an hold me down am lick me, I was never scared of them, and had held them in my lap as babies. There mother was killed by a trapper, Grant went up and found the cubs, brought them down to his cabin. when I would go visit they would curl up in my lap by the stove an sleep with me on the cot when I stayed over.
Been in the 20's in the day and was down to around 5 last night, snow flurries all week according to the reports.

Hmmmm, come in early to relieve the night shift and he's not around... guess I gotta go find his cot and give it the boot. In for a little O.T. Gonna be a 17 hour shift, then 2 days off to play. Time to go paint a sunrise on the janitors window and reset his alarm...

Had to look up CNC than said “Oh, I already knew that”. Watched a show awhile back that covered machinist’s. In Germany they still require first year students to hand file some pretty intricate parts as part of their passing grade. You guys earn your money. I can hardly whittle a hot dog stick.

Morning Y'all!
Coffee's burning so come and get it, foo on request. Donuts on the hooks and tied to the walls. If you let'em loose, you've got to catch'em. Keep your heads down, Cin's due to launch.

OK lazy heads - - hit the dirt and smile - - God loves ya.
Great story to start the day, Paul - - there are lots of good stories like that up around your part of God's territory. I was editing some movies of our Alaska trip late last night so that was a good one to start my day. Thanks.
OK, grabbed my foo and I think that thing is a donut with no cholesterol - - cool. hmmm, no one to talk to, so I am out of here and onto my ToDo list for the day. See ya,
Bobby
