Mid-April and we have blizzards going on? Scattered flurries here, but they're reprting western KS got over a foot of snow yesterday...and by Tuesday its gonna be back into teh mid 70's....

Don, I finally got around to uploading the pictures of teh stalls, I'll email you a link to them..but heres one( see attachment) Now I get to sand them all downa dn varnish them, then hang teh doors..

thumb is still swollen, but better... ( see the big rubber hammer in the picture?)

Heidi, tornadoes arent as bad as they make it sound, they tend to be isolated and the vast majority damage a very lilmited area.... can be kinda fun to sit on teh proch and watch one go by....but I guess its all a matter of what your used to...

Lookin good Chris, stalls too. What are you ganna use for varnish? I still haven't goten my camera squared away or I'd post some of the coop I've started. Gotta get going on a small barn once and for all prety soon.

Heidi, you saw mostly what I have going, if you see anything handy. Just don't kill youself doing it. I'm not in a hurry. I even put in for alot of overtime next couple weeks, that's gonna suck up my spare time. Start thinking about which days so I can lean on the janitor to tag along. Might have to doggynap Jake.

Claude, I'm staying down at my sisters this weekend watching her dogs, I here we got 6 inches up ther last night? Had a cell come over Grand Rapids yesterday. A few cell callers thought they saw rotation so everybody was on stand-by to stand-by mode. Just some 60mph gusts and some hale though.

Coffees ready for those that require it, almost got some phoo phoo out too, but didn't.

As long as the right parts come off first... I do not deny that I have a bad memory... I don't know if it's from the beer or from Parris Island... I probably won't know either, cause I don't have plans to stop drinking...

The dog has been gone for a LONG time... and I may have said me and the OL were going to get divorced from her letting my dog get stolen...

It all costs about the same , unless you have some old varnish to use up, but I'd lean towards water based urethayne. It'll dry quicker and fewer fumes. Some UV protection and it'll last longer. It'll also stand up to some banging without cracking or chipping. Oil based gives off a lot fumes and drys longer. Better for furniture or finishing projects. I wouldn't use any of them on any wood that's gonna be outside though, just oil stain. I don't know, maybe you already know all that, just nice and slow in here for a change, so I'm babbling.

I know next to nothign about varnish and paint composition...
I picked Spar Varnish simply becasue I used it on so many wooden masts, spars and railings exposed to the salt spray and sun of the caribean and it held up pretty well... seemed like tough stuff..

Dude, I'm so far out of the loop, what where you driving shuttle routes for?

So I get to go back to Dallas next week to follow along with the company I interviewed with yesterday. I don't know why I'm going, there are already two strikes against it, Dallas and Door-to-door sales. I guess I'm just curious how the door-to-door deal works.

just quick post:

we were informed we had a micro burst here. we just thought the weather was strong, hubby woke up last night waiting for the freight train to hit..

can anyone else see the humor in driving 950 miles to get out of tornado alley , only to have one hit up the road and across from us...... I am definitely listening God!!! whatever you want big guy....

humble heidi staying home
