Sun is up, gorgeous outside, I am breathing, you are breathing, I have food ready to eat in the pantry, I have a roof over my head and $10 in the bank, a beautiful wife is beside me, I feel good - - - hallelujah. Life is good. How are you doing? Yeh, pay attention to it. Be thankful. End of sermon. Amen.

Now, get your tail out of bed and go do something productive. Stop here first for your coffee, ph00, fruit juice, apple/cinnamon/raisin/brown sugar oatmeal and luscious apple fritters. See - - -life is good. Grabbing mine and hitting the bike for a 10 mile peddle thru the park - - see the critters and gators and enjoy......................

SMILE

Is there any chance the battery is getting knocked around. You're describing internal mechanical damage.
That's OK if you don't give a rip if I post. Just be that way. ........................................................

Hey, just showing your age. We are all heading there. HORRORS.

No knocking around of that battery - - tied up well in its mooring. She does not drive the car often, so I had the thought she was not turning something off or maybe a slow short draining the battery. But, I tested for leakage when putting in this new battery and current drain was zilch. So, guess just got two bad batts. strange. Decent brand. Oh well. Free. Now she has a new battery and only 3 months from the end of the guarantee. Hopefully it holds and she is ahead of the game with a new battery.

REFILL.........................................PH00 - - YAY.

Morning. Have not been around because the sign said the place was closed. When will it be open again? Any reason to open it again?

Paradise has not been very paradisy the last few days. We had two days of almost continuous high wind that caused some damage. Lots of big signs blown down. Fences too. Then the cold arrived. Yesterday had rain and small hail. Not far from me there even a bit of snow. However, all that changes from today. The next couple of nights are forecast to be cool, but the days are back to hot. Paradise has returned.

Got an unexpected chance to head to the beach for a week, so am leaving early tomorrow to drive to about 70 miles south of Puerto Vallarta, which is almost due west of me. It is a beach off the tourist beaten track and we will be staying at a very nice B & B. It is right on the beach and our room looks out over the sea. When I travel for pleasure I always prefer B & B's over hotels. Never hit a bad one yet and have stayed in many.

As the breakroom is closed, did not make coffee or ph00.

I went to Bowling Green and got the Grandson for the weekend. He is looking to raise some $$ for his first big date...... I'm thinking of all the "work" I have lined up for him. First order of business is ordering about 20 tons of 5/7 mix for the drive. Am I mean or what???????

That kid is 15, 225 lbs, and 6'3". He can put me under in a second..... If I don't show up next week, look under the gravel pile.....

Evening gang. Busy day today. Finally trying to catch up with life. Gotta hit the sack -- up early in the morning to head to St Petersburg for the road rally. Should be interesting. With all my racing, I never have been to one of these. Son has tickets - - company is backing one of the cars so special viewing area for them and can go to the pits. Should be interesting.

Stan - - we really liked our time there. Stayed about 4 days with the RV caravan. Neat spot and the food was great. Beach was nice, but not like Sarasota. Sorry.

OK, in the shower and hit the sack. See ya Sunday.

Finally made it back to civilization late Thursday night after being gone for nearly a month. Everything that could go wrong tried to. Company was complaining about the cost of the tickets. The only seats left were premium and 1st class. Almost got bumped from a flight because the airline overbooked. Not all of my luggage made it to Anchorage. Which means most of my cloths are who knows where. Woke up early Friday morning and the power had been off most of the night. No everything, the place is all electric. Had to crap in a bucket, no water. Got to work early to finish all my travel paperwork only to find the hangar server had been "removed for repair". Then spent the next 10 hours in the company of the FAA for my IA renewal. Things got a little personal because a former employee complained about our fleet. Just spent this morning doing the company paperwork I should have done yesterday, but couldn't and ordering new work cloths. The up side? The sun is out and it's warm, the wife and cat still remember me, and my truck started right up after being abandoned in the parking lot for a month. Now for all the unpaid bills and income tax.

Howdy yall!!
Miss me??
Been a busy busy boy and cant get anything to post on that stupid mobile app, so haven't been more than a stalker for awhile.
Lot has been happening over the last few months.
Last Sept, I had some swelling in my "boys" and it became ungodly painful.. Dr couldn't figure it out and after a sonogram, MRI and two CT scans, all they could say was " there's a shadow" on the picture that looks like it involves the colon, bladder, kidneys and *******...
sent me to a second uroligist, and then to an oncologist, none of whom had anything good to say, they couldn't figure it out, white cell count and PSA were all normal.. had me sweating bullets!!!
Honestly, I was updating my will, sold my horses( cant ride anymore anyways) and was getting my stuff in order, it had me that freaked out..this went on from Sept to December of last year...
I was also seeing an Ortho-specialist about some damage to my shoulders and spine, and in late December, got to talking to him about it and where the pain was and such.. he is networked with the other Dr's, so he pulled up the pics and the scans and took a look..goes in the other room, calls my urologist and the oncologist and comes back in to tell me, "aw, its not cancer, they didnt know what they were looking at.."...
turns out Ive ruptured the Inguinal Ligament that runs from the point of the hip to the base of the pelvic bone, and a couple abductors in my inner thigh..
non-surgical, and there's not much they think they can do for it...The "mass" they were seeing was a fluid build up and the remains of the ligament wrapped around inside my gut .....I wanted to go punch that urologist in the freekin throat!! I was scared, not afraid to admit!
But while Im gonna be eternally sore and have to pace myself better,Im gonna be kicking for a bit longer yet..

In December last year, we sold the country place and have bought a 135 yr old historic house in town.. We are only the 4th owners of a house built in 1880, classic Victorian that needs a lot of work. The limestone block foundation needs re mortared, and Im chipping away at it, ( 460 lbs of mortar so far and Ive covered about 10 foot of wall, just 82 left to go!)
I'm also in the middle of replacing all the water supply lines, but am finding I cant do as much in a day as I used to! we're gutting and redoing the kitchen, master bath( already replaced all the cast iron sewage and drain lines), and repairing most of the windows. But I'm stiff/sore enough that I'm taking today off.

I think it was Jack Benny who said " if Id have known I was gonna live this long, Id taken better care of myself"...
well, thats the news from the hawks nest...
