FO, 35 minute 5k? Did you walk, or maybe take a nap?
its a PR... and I was 9th in my age group (I think, we cut out during the awards)
Running has never been my thing. Since my boys are in cross country and we are trying to show our support for their activities, the wife and I have done a couple 5K runs with them.

He went off the shoulder, woke up, cut the wheel, came back onto the pavement, hit a guardrail, and flipped onto its roof, sliding to a stop in the left lane. I stopped to block anyone else from hitting them, people were checking on them already, paramedics came and got the older couple and a sheriff came out, but wasn't allowed to write up the report, had to wait for a state trooper. Ended up losing a couple hours. Someone told medics that I was involved, I told them only if watching it all happen counts.

I also was the only witness to still be there when the trooper showed up. The driver of the SUV admitted he had fallen asleep. One of the medics told me they had a lot of people coming through from Florida that fall asleep there. I told him yeah, they sleep a few hours in the afternoon , and then they drive all night, and this is where they run outta steam.

I managed to beat the VA scales that day too, I was about 3000 over gross, had to by-pass the construction north of Statesville and had less than a half hour to spare.
Lucky, on both counts.

Forgot there is more than one kind of chain.
Tire chain. About 10 years ago I snagged the tensioners on a trailer hitch (I found them later) and must have damaged the clasp.
Chain came off on the inside and somehow ripped the e-brake off, mangled the brake line and damaged the backing plate.
I may have said a few bad words that day.

Stopping in to say Howdy!!! Been too busy to stop in these last 3 or so days......my apologies. Hope the snow storm folks faired well!! We were supposed to get hammered with severe storms today but have had nothing but clear skies, sunshine, and CRAZY winds.......gusts up to 50mph....I don't drive much faster than that!! The storms have vanished but the cooler temps have set in. 55* right now and gonna cool on down to the 30's tonight....BBRRRRRR!!!

Mad, a good headache is worth it every once in a while!!!! Just don't make it a habit.....it hurts WAY WORSE the older you get. Trust me, I know!! Must be gettin antsy for the big move.

Class today was the same ol same ol.......A/C stuff I already know but have to pass the tests anyhow to prove it. Tomorrow is Electrical class and I for one always learn something new in that class......I despise electronics even though they are the "so called future" of our world and they ARE very nice WHEN they work properly!!! I view computers they same way!!!

Hopin everyone has a good day and evening.......later.

Don't do it Shorts, let me hold them. Now you've got plenty of time to run back to the house and get your favorite chair.

Evening all!

Because up there, they build 'em without roofs apparently. The snow would just collapse them anyway, so why bother in the first place?
