Evening all. Its 2130 ish here. Bout ready to hit the rack. Had a good day. got some stuff done around the house.

Then I went out to lunch with my mom and had a good mexican lunch. Green Chile Burro covered in enchilada sauce. Yummmmy.

Other than that, been kind of relaxing - trying to plan another vacation next year for me and a few buddies. I'd like to do another cruise to the caribbean or mexico. Lookin for a big party.

Well, things as always, warm weather continues, don't know why.

Race update, Ken anderson and Lance mackey are both in and out of carmacks now. Lance left at 720 tonight, and ken at 730. Barring any goofy happenings, this is going to be a close one, with 178 miles to go to the finish line here in Whitehorse.

There have been some bumps in the trail, but so far as I can tell, no major dog injuries thus far. This, along with making sure that everyone gets home safe, is the biggest part of the Quest.

They should make Braeburn by tommorrow morning for the layover, then its the run to town. Good luck to all participants still in the running. Down to 15 from 24 starters.

educator, with the wife on proper eating, and portion control. Carb intake is a big part of weight loss. Going to change her RX also. Beytta worked for her when she took it a few years ago when it was expermental and insurance would not cover it. Cost over $300/ month then. Now they do, so going to go back on it and see if she can lose weight.

Picked up a new cordless phone for my sister, take it to her tomorrow, so she has a reliable phone with one in her bedroom. She is still in a lot of pain. Too much ostiperosis to do surgery. Screws and pins would not hold. Splint for at least 6 more weeks. Ugg.

Have to check on the sled race tomorrow, if I get time. It will be off to sis and have to pick up kidletts.

Daughter here is looking at getting a new doggie. A Black Mouth Cur. It is a real breed, never hear of it before. Supposed to be a real good dog. New son-n-law's mom has one.

Its been a lousy night and a worse morning........my GSD "Harley" went missing yesterday morning around 0700 and hasnt been seen or heard from since...
The local PD and SO didnt pick him up, the shelter dont have him, and he has never, ever been gone for more than a few minutes to the neighbors house( they like to feed him scraps)...........
We live next to the RR tracks, but I couldnt find him there( thankfully) and he isnt anywhere to be found on our place........I am afraid someone picked him up and he is gone...
So i am irate, and the BOSS is upset, so naturally we start sniping at each other right up till I leave for work........
Come into work and find that the officer they hired to fill the hole we have on this shift, isnt done 'training " yet( he is a retired cop with 29 yrs experience, how much "training " does he need?) and I am probably gonna have to work through my days off so he can stay on dayshift.. Oh, but the dayshift supervisor is gonna take off this week... seems they have an extra body, so he can do that....
I need a new job.... and my puppy........

Just got an interesting call from a neighbor. It seems somebody deflated tires on 3 streets around us Sunday night. The neighbor saw multiple vehicles with 2 or more flats, street side only. Looks like it's time to go back to the Sheriff's office and turn up the heat.

 

that's why they make you pay for the tranny last week, and put it in this week, you are so happy with the tranny, you forget you just paid off the shop's new truck.



my dogs drive me crazy, keep me all night sometimes, but things like this make it worth it to have them.
