well..... the truck is stuck in the ice/slush/snow..........
right here in a parking lot, so i am still at work.......

I-70 now closed in two more places due to the lanes being blocked by overturned/jack-knifed trucks, the local PD has gone ot emergency accident reporting( injury only)..

it doesnt seem like it should be this slick!! it rained all night then turned to heavy wet snow around 0300,a ndits stillfalling,but temps are a few degrees above freezing.....

I miss my 4WD big time right now......................

 

or a horse......

 

needless to say, i am embarressed for my truck right now........

gotta have the BOSS come get me, but I realy dont want her out on teh roads either...

Weather report... No wind, sent it down to Fronty. No new snow and none in the forecast. Only -6*C so it's nice out.

Don't take any chances Chris couple hrs of sleep in the corner might save ya a repair bill while they clean up the roads.

Geico Just found out a guy that is at the little airport near up has an L39 Albatross hangared there. Neet plane but sure didn't expect it around here. Talked to one of the owners, ex air force. Uses it for mapping GPS systems for airports up here. Have to get to know him better, said if you have anything to do with the airport he would take you for a ride for the fuel.

Soon as it starts staying warm I have a few more poplar trees to fall and pile on burn pile. Those things are like weeds an suck for heat, this area burnt about 50 years ago, so they are getting old, and rob water from my spruce. Have a few piles to get rid of this year. Next summer I want to rent a skid steer and do some clean up and get a area ready for a garage.
Sure makes it easier to heat the place now that its warmed up, man at 50 below the Toyo stove never shuts off
