Super! Hope he keeps progressing.
Yikes! If not for having to go back to AK we would have been in your area right about now.
Mmmmm, tacos sound like a good idea. We haven’t restocked the fridge since we got back but I think we have all the ingredients except for the lettuce, cheese, tomatoes, onion and shells.

Night shift is in. Running the coffee through a few more times for some added octane. Dragon has been neglecting the snowshovel, so he's on guard duty right now, guarding the snowshovel at parade rest in the front yard.
Heidi, tractor is sitting with a dead battery in the lane between my drive and the neighbors. Used up the battery because the carb and fuel line was freezing up with the snowblowing operations. I have a trick to prevent it when I get time to charge it later. The worthless neighbor hasn't done squat with his plow. Jerry "finally" busted a trail open this morning. They're ALL gonna be eating snowcones here pretty soon. I'd make them suffer longer, but I tweaked my front driveshaft the other morning. Gonna call "Tom Woods" today for a good one.
Rick, thanks for the picture. We didn't have one struck this time ourselves, but a Grand Rapids car got nailed today with a big pile up. Officer not hurt, but one of the fool drivers were. On the positive side though, Ford stopped making the crown vic. We just picked up 80 some chargers for the next batch of replacements. Can you say 140 with room left in the pedal? The guys are loving the traction control and handling too, fewer blind spots than the earlier version.

Its 12v now. It was 11 below the other night, the fuel line and carb were really frosting up. A few times I wasn't getting spark, but more often got spark but no fire. Gonna cut a piece of tin for a shield and put it over the manifold and carb so the manifold will heat the fuel some. It was after dark and the flashlight bulp puked. So with headlights on the battery didn't have a lot of a chance. I put a 650 in it this summer though, so it fought a good fight.

Evenin' All!
On duty for a week of night shift.
Snowing here tonight. Supposed to get 5" or so. Not the great loads that y'all down there are getting but it's enough to give me something to play with......
Miserable week this last week. Wife sick, kid sick, and to top it off, I got sick. Worst case of the flu I've had in 15years or so. Ran a fever up to 103 off an on for the better part of 2 days. Horrible feeling. It left me as quick as it came though. Just need to rehydrate some more.

They are amazing tractors. Like I said before, I never thought about people using them in the winter since the only time I use ours is for mowing or disking. Its using about a quart of oil every two hours so it may be due for a little work (next year
).

Do a compression check. You may be surprised, might just be dirty valves. I lose most of my oil out of the governor. Plan on putting some bearings in the gov. soon anyway. If you're gonna tear into it, good upgrade is to replace the lift pump piston with one out of an NAA. Holds better pressure. Gonna go through my pump when I swap out the bad diff case.
Hey Marc.

I used to hate night shifts at the jails but loved not having any admins around to create problems.
I will do that. As little as that tractor gets run it might be something easy.
