Waiting on laundry machine to become available, then go feed the crew here, go wear out the roping dummy and roping goat, go feed my crew at the college arena, go work out, throw a lead steer in the arena and rope the way out of him, fill water in my trailer, hose my truck and trailer off, and go see 300 at the theaters. Along with sending off a certification and getting entered for the next college rodeo. BTW I drew good for the rodeo this weekend, instead of having to haul but right after class I'm not up 'till tomorrow morning, then hopefully make the short go that night.

JaBark!! HANG IN THERE BUD!! my college son pulled himself up by his own bootstraps, went out and talked with STRANGERS (oh my) and found out some helpful stuff to make college do able. (no, not alcohol) Now all happily talking engineer Math (sine/cosine/nano..this and manometers with accelerated gravity equations in his head) SORRY MADHAT- this Halo game champion and paintball death squad is staying in college. nice to see father and son bond too...

AND!!! Best news of all!! son was home ten minutes, playing with adoring Siberian (son is his chew toy) and he found my wallet, laying so nicely on top of the snow....about five feet farther than I looked. true as my word, I gave him all the money in the wallet, about fifty bucks. no hugs though, he had friends in the house....we did secretly slap five...alright! no disclipinary letter in MY folder.....Monday is the official deadline too! couldn't be happier though about son self-helping himself. like to see maturity happen. finding the wallet definitely takes a very close second.


20 below last night at son's college. early morning son getting breakfast and his eyes stung from the moisture trying to freeze. he wore his swim goggles to the long walk to classes, took off quick if someone was near. only student to actually read what the professor had on screen, no one else did the eye protection thing and they paid for it (scratchy, like sand in eyes). prof thought no one did the calculations , so he told my son he had the lesson done, he could leave. son beat feet outta there before anyone complained..

lot to be said parents, about show your support but keep your mouth shut, let your kids figure it out no matter how hard.

Hey MADHAT!! I do have to PM ya about a military thing. a friend was set for ROTC basic training in April but just learned he got denied because some general exam private MD doctor thought he was capable of self-harm. No shrink involved, just this doctor's opinion over a scar on the guy's forearm.
would like to resubmit or appeal but don't know how. I can have a shrink provide an exam and report, but don't know if that's acceptable. any info?
CHECK THIS OUT!! Recruiters are now going to County JAILS for recruits. ex cons can now be recruited. on the opposite side of the coin:
the 10th mountain Division (Army) is going back to Iraq for their FIFTH go round. two companies have been in Afganistan eight months with a one month break before another round. they have done five rounds so far.
no one is volunteering, lot of reservists and nat guard are being listed as PTSD and not going back. the future does not look good.

I go in Tuesday next week for a second interview as a village police chief about 20 miles away. ya ya first female blah blah....I speak Spanish (arrest and convict) which helps as they have a huge problem with migrant farm workers coming into the village. they want someone who can work with the board members and the public (haven't asked about the previous situation) they have a drive in over there that I have been going to for 20 years and THE BEST char broiled food North of Tennessee. I haven't decided if I want to be the big bellied sheriff (nights lights went out in georgia) or
dukes of hazard.....definitely would hire CHAIKWA (scott) as barney fife...
we would sure be impressive with our antique service revolvers and moldy bullets... stun guns? why that's rock salt in the shotgun.

Hope ya feel better Scotty! bacon, egg and cheese sammich with apple sausages in maple syrup on the side. grilled diced potatoes with onion and a bit of red peppers for color, crispy. you all can have applesauce on it the way the french canadiens do, sure is good with ham.......
I am NOT going to do well if there is a SANKA dispenser in here. machine will be AWOL.......I can set up the hi test stuff no problem! raspberry tea for me though ...foo foo is no fun alone!

i am catching up on Admin at the house.
paperwork at home falls behind alot.
get PILES of mail & magazines laying around, takes a concentrated effort to keep it beat back.

 

problem is 04, I'd have to get other lifers like NAVY CHIEF to decipher and he'd end up reminiscing with you whilst I twiddle me thumbs....

Had a nice ride on the boys horse yesterday. It's been WAY to long since she got worked out. Only knocked my hat off once. While I was at it, started a new gelding. Couple of hoof prints on my hiney, but hes' now saddleing and walking around pretty good.

Went up with the flight instructor for another flight the other day. Having a ball. Rust is coming off quick. If the winds cooperate, I think he will turn me loose next flight or two. Want to do some more hood work, a long cross country, then will be ready for the flight test.

Gonna wash the beast tonight, give it a little wax, and do SOMETHIING with the interior. Muddy contruction lots and animal "stuff" getting the better of me.
