Unhappy Brad Delp of Boston is gone.

Man that guy could sing. He could hit high notes like no other. Going to listen to some Boston and RTZ.

Bummed me out when I heard this on the radio today. Over 30 years later and it is still my #1 Desert Island Disc.

RIP

Very Sad indeed! Boston was a part of my life growing up. Loved their music and sound. The "rockman" developed by Stan had a unique sound everyone loved.

On the radio yesterday, I heard he died of carbon monoxide poisoning, but there was nothing about that in today's Boston Herald. Just a couple of articles on his life. A 911 call was received from his house. He was alone and it appeared he was into good health. Nothing out of the ordinary when the emergency response teams arrived.

A Rockman? Haha! That thing is so compressed that it doesn't matter what guitar you play through it, they all sound the same! Same, but very goooood.

The "reverend" Billy F. Gibbons also used a Rockman on most of the early 80s stuff, including "eliminator" and "recycler".

Except for the fact that he was sealed in his bathroom with two burning charcoal stoves and a suicide note around his neck.

Brad Delp was a great vocalist.
