Bow target idea
Bow target idea
The city bales their cardboard and will give me one if I want it. Would this make a good target for a #60, #50 & #34 compound bow? He said he could pack it kind of loose if I needed him to. I'm afraid if he packs it tight the arrows will bounce off...especially from the 34# bow.

It would be ok for a little while with field points. After it was broken in, you'd probably start peeling fletchings off as they want to start passing through. I don't think bouncing would be an issue. I started out with a #35 bear recurve when I was a kid, and it still has a punch.

Get you a corn sack or burlap sack and fill it with a bunch of old t-shirts or rags. Stuff it as much as possible and resew it back together. You'll have a nice cheap target.
OR, just have Cincy stand up there. He's expendable, has a large mass and won't wreck your arrows when they hit him.

I agree that the cardboard would be tough on the arrows after a bit.....
I don't think you would have much of a chance hitting Eric...we all know he moves way TOO fast and he NEVER comes to a complete stop
