Bought a GPS

https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?cID=134&pID=9160#

I never knew how useful these things were!

Took the wife up near Cleveland for her birthday and it showed me the EXACT way to get there...

Then after dinner I went the wrong way on purpose... and it guided me through side streets and such and got me right back on the turnpike...

Unit is small and mounts perfectly in the upper lefthand corner of the windshield...

Sounds really nice. I borrowed a Garmin Nuvi....I think it was a 650 model or sooooo from a family member. Very Very nice.

I want to buy one, I just don't know if I need one bad enough to justify the price right now. I have to many other toys to buy for my truck!

I've tried a tomtom go with an integrated bluetooth handsfree kit. I really liked the navi and especially that you could keep your hands off the phone, have the navi give you directions so that the other end of the call didn't hear where you are.

I think that this piece is going to be one of my next investments.

I have a Nuvi650, and I love the thing. The only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't do trails so I can't see where I previously travelled. Other than that though, it's awesome.

Have a Magellan roadmat 2000 portable. Handy loned to son to find his way around houston. Put it in your pocket when parking in a strange city, mark where you parked, and easy to find way back to your truck.
Laptop10 copilot is on a laptop, It also tracks the trips and even the speed on the trip, but it takes a while to play back a long trip.
Have fun with your gps and any new uses for it post it please.

I have GPS/chartplotters on both boats. They are an amazing tool out on the water! Of the two, I like the Garmin better. The other is a Humminbird matrix and it is not as rugged or reliable

I have a much older model Magellan (GPS 3000).
It doesn't have any maps but it works great. We recently went to Hawaii (big Island) drove out to Kilauea. Drove an old lava road as close as we could get to the volcano and then walked an 1.5 hrs out to the lava flows. We walked back in the dark. I had marked the the truck before the walk. It was cloudy and dark that night which made it really hard to tell our directions other than keeping the glow of the lava behind us. the Magellan made coming back very easy.

I am in the process of choosing a GPS. Right now( It can change at any moment) the front runner is the Nuvi360.

I've had a garmin 330 for 2 1/2 years now. The entire US and Canada is in it's memory.

great unit, takes the stress out of going where you've never been.
