You looking more for a work boot? Or just a comfortable every day boot? Price range? If your looking for a tactical/uniform boot, check out Danner.

I'll second that on the RedWings. I also really like Georgia Boots and Wolverine Boots.

just an every day boot. my feet dont breathe well in regular shoes, so it was suggested that i try wearing boots. i also need some that are comfortable, cause i have foot problems. i was thinking a tactical/duty boot like what you would see in Galls, cause they are designed to be worn for long periods.

I wear Rockys and nothin but them.
Good quality boot, they have a lot of differnt styles.
They hold up well in conditions @ the shop, from anything to tranny fluid, to everykind of fluid, brake clean, everything.
I personally like the extra ankle support I get from boots rather than shoes.
I also like having my feet protected!

I've been wearing Ariats for civilian clothes. Really light weight and breathable. A little on the western side, but very comfortable. For duty boots I wear Bellevilles. The summer weight (jungle style) are very breathable and light weight (for steel toe). I would agree with the above posts about Redwings and Georgia too.

I wear rocky ironclad boots at work and I have to walk fairly long distances and they seem to do pretty good so far on the ballast of the railroad which is very hard on boots and my knees in general

Yea, when I'm out doing what a cowboy does, I stick to Ariat's and Double H's. Pretty much all my boots are Ariat, HH or Tony Lama's. A few Luchesse's and stuff for dress.

well I work in Red Wings and wear them home everyday.. I have even used them as dress boots they looked good... the best thing that I have found for the most comfort is to wear a pair of tube socks and a pair of woll socks on top of them.. I do it all year around.. and feet never hurt or stink or anything.. I love them

Danner, I used to swear by Wolverine Durashocks until I bought a pair of Danner's. Very comfortable.
