Angry Boat would not start!! Bad news/Good news story

I was out of the house at 0530 on my one hour drive to the delta hot spot known for good sized stripers.

I arrived right on time during the tide change and had the boat dunked and ready to fire up when .........................I cranked and cranked and cranked to no avail!!! The fuel was fresh, the oil tank full and all I had to do was kick the key on and go!!

I have a 1998 Evinrude 2 stroke with a startup fuel selenoid and electric start.

The motor would start but not run when i kicked the selenoid manually. Only later did I find out that the selenoid was a dead short! $100.00 at the dealer already on order!

I reluctantly put Runamuk back on her trailer and promptly STOLE my cousins boat and proceded to commence fishing, Finally!!! 0942 now morning bite is gone.

1030 first fish!! 33" 15lb Striper keeper in this State! My day is getting better!

1130 second fish 30" 13lb Striper keeper also!!! day is getting pretty good now!!

1400 in for lunch and having caught my limit I'm done for the day!!

All in all I had a great day and Runamuk will be fixed by this weekend so I can do it again in my own boat this time.

more importantly, did you return his boat before he noticed and demanded 1/2 your catch as retrobution for stealing his boat?

How did you know Geico??

We are the only family on the block who has a 20 member audience just to watch!!!

Truthfully when the entire family shows up we have over 25 cars and vans filled with kids, dogs, neighbors show up!.........

We do know how to party!!!! No Doubt!!!

Fishing is a priority in my family! To the point of being an addiction!!
