Biggest Turbo I've ever seen
The Cooper-Bessemer ET-24 turbocharger we use on some Cooper-Bessemer 2-cycle and 4-cycle engines has a compressor impeller diameter of 24". It takes approximately 5,000 EGHP (exhaust gas horsepower) to drive it to full output. The 13,500 BHP @ 330 RPM Cooper-Bessemer 20Z-330 (V-20 2-cycle, 20" bore and 18" stroke) uses 2 each ET-24's, 1 for each bank of 10 cylinders.
There are much bigger turbos out there than the ET-24. Look at some of the units on the superlongstroke marine diesels.

RustyCJ we must work on similar equipment. That's just a baby turbo. Worked on a lot of White-Syperiors, Coopers, Clarks and Ingersolls with bigger than that. Probably biggest was on Cooper V-275. Now it's mainly Kitty-Cat 4 strokes and GE Turbines cranking out 28 megawatt. Used to work on EMD's too but the 16 cyl 645 I worked on had Root's Blowers on them. Look's like a cool rig though. Do you have a profile shot of it Dieseldude?

I've worked for Cooper Energy Services (Cooper-Bessemer, Superior, Enterprise, Ajax, etc.) for over 30 years.
