Hey, you gotta be tough to be a cripple! The big bottles of ibuprofen at Costco are a blessing. After two major back surgeries, they declared me 15% disabled. That was 25 years ago. I am still plugging along and driving 35thousand a year and setting up machine tools.

I just took my 81 year old Dad elk hunting. He's crippled up from a semi- wreck back in 1970. Almost had his leg cut off when it was smashed in the accident. I remember seeing the xrays and it looked like crushed ice. He is the toughest old SOB I know. He got his first elk with one shot at about 225 yards two days ago. He left Colorado and drove straight through the big storms back to California by himself without a cell phone! I got my elk too.

I try to thank the good Lord everyday that I was lucky enough to be born in the USA where the opportunity to have a good life exists. I just hope we don't let it slip away too far before we can turn it around.

Try not to trip over your own Big Feet

 

I used to be teased by some of my dads old hunting buddies. That most of the time it takes 3 feet to make a yard and that I had two feet you could not get in anybody’s yard.
The other thing they would tell me is that I only wear a size 2 and ½, two cow hides and a half bushel of tacks. Those old men are gone now and I sure do miss them sometimes.
Not a big deal to trip over my feet at least I got them.
