Siping is cutting grooves in the treadblocks that will give the tire many more biting edges. Our work trucks have it done and the increase in traction and stopping on ice and snowpacked roads is dramatically improved. It is also claimed to increase tire wear by letting the tires run cooler. The local tire shop wanted $10.00/tire, but with the large voids in the KM2's he didn't think the machine would do a very good job. I am looking at a handheld machine that would let a guy do each treadblock seperately. Camera batteries are charging, so pics will have to wait.

Dirtdiver,.....thanks for the info on siping. I don't see that I have a real need for it, so im just gonna run them as is.

bsj04.......You can still get the regular MTs for now, even at Discount Tire. But supposedly, they will be stopping production real soon. I don't really know why they would quit making them. Like you said, they have been making them forever. Why stop? They should just add the KM2s to the lineup for those that want them.

The ride, handling etc. is fine on the new tires. They are just bigger than what I had prior and I am feeling that difference. Mileage seems to be slightly less in slow moving in town driving.....and slightly better on the highway from what I can tell.

TexasCTD, I guess you don't get that much snow in Texas so they will work fine as is. If I do it I hope it will create the ultimate tire for what I want it to do. Having trouble get pics loaded as I am not a computer genius. Will try again later.

Not really, I was pretty set on getting 35's. I guess I did consider the 305 for the E rating since I do tow quite a bit. But in the end, I still wanted the 35's and I don't think im going to have any problems with the weight. They are rated at 3000lbs each and my truck weighs 3000lbs on the rear axle, leaving 3000lbs of capacity left on the rear. Front weighs 5000lbs fwiw.

I have noticed 'NO' Rubbing so far even at full lock. I have a 2'' leveling on the front.

Finally got a couple of pictures of my 37/12.50/17 BFG KM2's. Will post some more after my parts from XLR8R are installed and some miles are on the tires.

I really like the look of an oversized tire in a wheelwell with essentially no lift, Bret - and your truck is probably the first one I've seen besides mine like that!

Thanks, It is going to work really well. I think that Kawiram is also running 37 inch tires with no lift.

Forgot about me already? I got the idea from you anyways! LOL. Here's a pic of the 37"s and one how it is now for the move to VA. It wont be with the 315's for long though as they look way to small. Those KM2's look great!

Yeah.......How did you miss it! If you are looking for some replacements in 35'' or 37'' they have them in both sizes. In fact the 37s have a 500lb higher load rating the 35s.

I have put about 2000 miles on these since I got them ( made a trip last weekend ) and the wear seems fine. I don't notice any so far.

These tires would look good on your truck!
