BFG Mud Terrain KM2 Tires
I am in the market for some 35 x 12.5 x 17 BFG Mud Terrain tires. I am moving up from the 285s.
I noticed recently that BFG has some KM2 tires out now. Does anybody have any experience with these new tires? They apparently have a thicker sidewall and are better for rock krawling etc. than the regular BFG MT KM.
I don't rock krawl and actually don't get off road very much. An all-terrain would work well for what I do, but I really like the looks of the MTs so im going to give them a try. If you have any info, good or bad, on the KM2s, please let me hear it. Thanks!

Wow 32 views and no comment! Where is Rusty Shackleford at? He has a comment about everything...
Oh well I put in a order for some KM2s. According to the tire man, BFG is going to stop making the regular Mud Terrain KMs.

I havent heard much yet. I dont think anyone on our Jeep club that I wheel with has gotten any yet. They are basically a little bit more road friendly krawler; which is a great tire.

I like the 3525lb rating on the 37/12.50s, but Im not too keen on the 3k lb rating on the 35s....
Looks like a decent tread though, let us know how they work out for you!
For me its a toss up between Toyo MTs and possibly Pro Comps, but not im not hearing good wear from the Pro Comps....

If you're not going to be any off roading I wouldn't suggest getting the KM2's. They are more for rocks.....notice how they have a similar tread pattern to the BFG Krawlers? I have the Krawlers on my Jeep and they do ok on the road, but they won't last for squat on a daily driver!
The regular BFG mudders are a good tire and they hold up fairly well to daily driving as long as you keep them balanced and rotated.
I'm a huge fan of the Toyo MT's......had them before and LOVED them.

Discount Tire called today and said my tires were in. So im going to get them on probably Friday....or Saturday for sure.
I don't expect to get quite the lifespan out of these KM2s as I have this current set of BFG 285 all terrains. But hopefully they will hold up fairly well.
I haven't heard good things about Toyo MTs holding up well either.

If anybody wants to get a set of the regular BFG MT KMs....better get them now. Supposedly they are going to stop producing them real soon. They are just going to be making the KM2s in the near future.

Remember....I have black powdercoated stock wheels.......no chrome center caps currently.
