That is just ridiculous. But I know what you are talking about with those other brands.

I talked with the Line-x rep here in Red Deer for their industrial coatings division, and they spend more time training their clients on getting the prep done properly than applying the product. I know the local outlet that does Line-x was cautioning me on the prep for it to re-shoot my box rail on the passenger side after the re-paint, to make sure it was fully cured.

The jobber stuff that the body shop put on 3 years ago on that rail (after the collision) just flaked off in hard chips.

When I had mine sprayed the folks at Line-X put little raised letter plastic emblems on the rear side walls of my bed and sprayed over them. They say Line-X clear as can be.

am good friends with the local line x dealer. if your local linex guy is telling YOU to prep, something is wrong. the prices they charge, better include prep. don't see them warrantying a product they did not prep first.

I should clarify.. They were very adamant about prep more over me letting the paint cure for at least a few months before they try and shoot the Line-x on. I wanted to try and get all the work done at once so I could put my cover back on, but they said "see you in the spring". It was not for me to prep..

You would know what batteries are required. How many yrs does the Hover run with the ones you use?

I had to leave when they started to prep. I couldn't stay and watch them use 40 grit sandpaper on a 3 week old truck. It almost made me sick when they started. I know why they do it but it still was tough to watch.

i hear ya. people were almost puking when I took a wire wheel to an $1100 custom fuel tank. Was prepping it for the hurculiner coating. took the spiral wire cup wheel to it, wiped it down with laqure thinner to remove any oils and coated it. turned out VERY nice.

Since I am nearing Fossil state, Its Fossil Fuel for me and my Kubota Chair.

How is the solar panel/wind sail attachment working for you?

If I was the OP I might be a bit upset how this went off topic.

Whoops, nevermind.

Fossil State in effect.
