Better Than Go-Jo

Try using Dawn disinfectant dishwashing liquid and granulated sugar. There are several advantages. Most hand cleaners contain pumice or sand to loosen dirt combined with a petroleum based solvent for the grease. The petroleum is bad for septic systems and the pumice or sand can build up in traps. Dawn is widely known as the best grease cutter sold commercially. It is even used in petroleum spills to clean up. If you use the disinfectant version of Dawn, you get the advantage of killing germs and bacteria. The sugar performs the same function as the pumice or sand and it dissolves in water so as not to accumulate in traps. Give it a try. I tried it after I did a brake job, which left my hands BLACK, and it worked great.

Vidal Sassoon doesn't work to well. Pert Plus works better.

Been there, done that! Lemon Dawn works best, but I have to get my pwn bottle. The wife no longer frowns at me, just throws a perfectly good (just marked for territory ) bottle away. Gets too expensive.

I have to agree about Pert Plus. Been using it for years, leaves your arms hairs shiny and manageable.

Or something like that. It does work well for cutting grease and oil, even that blacker than black used diesel oil. Even cleans it from around the fingernails ( leaving them shiny and manageable )

Anyway, great stuff, although I also use fast orange when on the road. Works by removing the top layer of skin from your hands.

Tide used to be great hand cleaner but they changed the formulation years ago to something with green crystals in it and it was not as good any more.I have used the Boraxo powder for years now and I have not found anything better. When you finish cleaning your hands they are clean and you don't have to wash with regular soap to get the smell off either. Old mechanic's trick before all the 'special' hand cleaners.

We used regular Go-Jo and a handful of oil staydry (Kitty Litter).

I wish my mom would have used the sugar trick, when as a young lad, she washed my mouth out with soap , for some indiscreet comment....
