Electrified, I have held off on giving feedback for just that reason. It's getting hard to hold back though. The worst thing is that he keeps buying crap on e-bay, spending all my money, and he still has 100% feedback!!! Scumbag!!!
Donhov, I found the site and e-mailed the guy telling him that if I don't have a good answer to our problem by tomorrow I will be filing a complaint. We'll see if it helps.

Glad we don't have that kind of kiddie stuff here.
If you read around all the idiots that posted you will find that the few guys involved with actually tracking him down did a decent job. That kid got what he deserved, but it did get out of hand. I bet that Kid is really sorry he ever messed with the Pirates.

I have a friend that tried to buy a truck on e-bay. It was down in FL and he flew down there. When he got down there the guy never showed. He paid half up front and was going to pay the rest when he got there. I am not sure how he resolved this issue though. I can't believe people actually try to get away with this kind of ****!

guys, I would suggest that some of you keep your comments out of our forums, and I think you know what I mean. We don't condone anything illegal and as such, will remove this thread if that kind of talk continues. I don't mind people helping a guy try to recover his money or get his product, but I would hope that you would do it in a legal and respectable fashion. Imagine a group of guys from here doing something like that, getting arrested, and then our site getting shut down. That's something I don't want to have happen, and I'm sure you all don't either.

That town only puts him about 40 miles from me. I don't condone anything illegal but maybe somebody just nocking on his door to ask for the turbo in person would help encourage him a little. All I need is a PM with info.

ebay

heck if nothing else...letting you drive the 40 miles just to actually see that someone actually lives at the house would be nice. I do feel your pain thou, 6 months ago I bought a A8N-SLI Deluxe motherboard off a guy on EBay, he said he tryed sending it to my house 2 times.. then no responce from him for 2 months, then an email saying oh you never got it. Let me check into it... Then 2 more months, and one more responce, Oh you never got the board, well I am going to send you a check for the refund, and I will contact Ups and file a claim on the item, 2 months later, nothing nada zip... see the pattern? I pretty sure you do. Now I know its only 150 dollars in total,,... but its the principle, AND its seems to be happening ALOT more and ebay has no control over it. I think there is got to be a way to make EBAY more responsible over its "business" i mean its going through them, they need to be held responsible. I like ebay, i just dont like how badly people are getting scammed over on it. I think it needs to be changed.
Maybe I should just use Ibid??

Dangousity

Good Luck on your turbo refund man, hope you get it resolved!

Thanks everybody for the replies, constructive and comical. I'd like to have someone close drive by but I would hate to have something happen to someone over this when they were just trying to help me. I am a lawful citizen and will go through the proper channels to resolve things. I got some good ideas here and I'm glad so many of my diesel brothers have got my back! . I will still have a turbo eventually but I will have to save up some more $$$ to get it. I will keep everyone posted.........

Did the guy say in the begining he would infact send you the turbo. If so, hopefully he's just lazy and you will get it eventually.

I had a simular thing happen to me. My kid bought a motorcyle gas tank off ebay. It was junk. Guy said send it back for full refund plus all shipping. Total of $300. After month's of email's and phone call's still no money. But, the guy kept saying he was going to send it. Then after awhile he quit responding and it was apparant we weren't going to get the money.

Well it just so happened I delivered a car to California 20 mile's from where he was. Me and a friend walked into his shop, I shook his hand and very politly said, "I'm Joe Blow from St. Louis and I'm here to get that $300." I wished I had it on film. I never seen a Mexican turn white, but he sure did. I actually seen him take a big gulp. I could see the wheel's turning in his mind thinking ,,,man if this guy came 2200 mile's for $300, I better give it him. And he did. Everything went smooth. He even gave me a new type of grease gun that he invented. When we got out to my truck, my friend said that was about a $75 grease gun. So it paid to be nice.

The point is, when I showed up, I was polite. I didn't tell him I was there to kick his ****. All though it could have happend that way too. Me showing up just made him,,,like the saying goes,,,crap or get off the pot.

Maybe if someone could show up at his place and be civil, you might get your turbo,,,,and a free grease gun.

Since you used the US Post Office, file a criminal complaint with the Postal Inspectors. They'll be all over it. Second, contact the district attorney's office of both the state and county (they are seperate agencies) in which the seller actually resides. You'll have a bunch of paperwork to fill out, but in the end, more than likely you'll either have your money back or the seller in jail facing criminal prosecution, or both!

I was in a hurry for it and used UPS. I don't think the same laws pertain to that...

I hate seeing anyone get burned on ebay. Hope it works out for you.
If using paypal in the future please read the fine print. They are a wolf in sheeps clothing. Google it.
Best way to purchase on ebay is with a credit card direct to the seller. That way you can dispute the charges directly with Visa/Mastercard etc if a problem arises. Good luck

It's funny you mention that. I heard someone say something the other day about getting "Wenzeled" and I had no idea what they were talking about.
