Barrels?
Ok so this doesn't have anything to do with trucks, but I thought that some of ya'll may b able to help me out. I am looking for barrels to practice with (barrel racing). Right now, the place I am keeping my horse focuses on jumpers and so I have been using jump stands for practice. Intercolliegate rodeo season is starting up and this is just not gonna cut it. So if anyone knows where I can find barrels for a decent price, please let me know!!!! I am desperate and the price for the fancy new ones you can get out of the magazines is a little too much for my starving college student budget. Thanks!

Re:Barrels?
Check Tractor Supply. I believe they have 55 gallon drums for sale in both metal and plastic....and they're right down the road from you at Texas Ave. and 2818....across from Albertson's by Putt-Putt. The Farmer's Coop over in Bryan might be able to help you out too.

Re:Barrels?
Before I retired from our local newspaper in '96, we had to BEG folks to come take away the 50 gallon barrels we used in our plant - they originally held mild, non-harmful chemicals not unlike soap - and we had some of THOSE too... These were plasic barrels, and should be idea for your use - I still have a half-dozen here that eventually will probably be cut in half for planters...

Give the local newspaper a try.

Re:Barrels?
There is a place not far from you, in Milano, that allways has barrels for sale. Right on the main drag, going towards Rockdale.

Get the plastic ones, and wear the shin guards. After a few years the barrels will be tough on the knees.
