Barn Find

I got this email the other day. I checked Snopes to see if it was fake but it didn't show up there. So........

The BARN

A New York man retired. He wanted to use his retirement money wisely, so it would last, and decided to buy a home and a few acres in Portugal. The modest farmhouse had been vacant for 15 yrs.; the owner and wife both had died, and there were no heirs. The house was sold to pay taxes.

There had been several lookers, but the large barn had steel doors, and they had been welded shut. Nobody wanted to go to the extra expense to see what was in the barn, and it wasn't complimentary to the property anyway......so, nobody made an offer on the place.

The NY guy bought it at just over half of the property's worth, moved in, and set about to tear in to the barn.......curiosity was killing him.

So, he and his wife bought a generator, and a couple of grinders......and cut thru the welds. What was in the barn...............? Go to; http://www.intuh.net/barnfinds/afa70.htm and start wishing it was you that had bought the place.

There was a similar story that was true though. A guy had 21 tractor trailers on his property. Among the finds were 3 or 4 Yenko Camaros and a Yenko Nova.< edit> I was trying to go by memory but upon re-reading the story there were several L-6's , a Yenko Camaro, and a Yenko Nova. He also had countless rare parts and engines. It was an incredible collection. The guys name was Donald Schlag and he worked for a John Deere dealership. Here's a link. Unfortunately the story is stale so most of the good pics and stories are now dead links. Here is what was found so far after opening 17 of the 21 trailers ( back in 2005).
1957 Corvette Convertible Fuel Injected orange (Not available for sale)
1957 Corvette Convertible Fuel Injected black (Not available for sale)
1963 Corvette Split Window
1964 Corvette Convertible, Fuel Injected
1967 Corvette Convertible, 435hp
1967 Camaro RS/SS
1969 Yenko Camaro
1970 Chevy Chevelle LS6 gold
1970 Chevy Chevelle LS6 blue
1972 Camaro Z28
