Bait and switch?

ANybody taking advantage of Super Bowl sales running into bait and switch scams? This may not be a scam, but I'm suspicious.

BestBuy has a 42" Sony 1080p advertised as 120hz refresh at a pretty good price with 0 intrest. You get there and it's not 120hz, they do post a correction in the store after you're there. Doesn't seem like much of an issue, but to get the better 120hz, you have to drop down to a 40" and tack on a few hundred or go up to 46" and tack on almost a grand. Most other brands in 42"/1080P are close in price, on sale, but you prepare your self shopping ahead as the extra high refresh rate as putting it over the edge on the others. It may sound trivial, but my understanding is the higher refresh rate fights burn-in better for longevity, not worried about the gaming aspect.

Also, the websight was not up to speed with inventory on disc players. Didn't have the one I wanted. I live an hour away so, it was a bigger deal to me than most I guess.

Show them the ad and have them order it, and get a rain check.

I was gonna, but they are protected here by putting a correction on the front door. It'll still cost them a little shut-up money on an accessory though. they're usually pretty good about tossing an extra 10 percent here and there when it suits them. Sorry if it sounds greedy, but like I said, I don't live next door and they're pushing hard for people to use their websight for info, which also advertized those specs.

Nobody else out shopping?

Only thing the higher refresh rate prevents is AC coupling. Can be noticeable with the source is analog like composite video or VGA. Some people are very sensitive to this when it's in the 60Hz range.
