Back from a little vacation
Well monday afternoon I got back from a vacation to San Jose/San Fransico California. My girlfriend and I drove the 2200 miles along I-80. All I can say is that there are some very beautiful parts of the country out west and there area few boring spots too. I was planning on taking the truck but in case of rain which we did hit we took my sisters 03 civic and got about 40 mpg running 80 mph. After being there for about a week I realized that I didn't wanna return to NW Indiana. So the next vaction I take will be to the Bay area agian. I do have a question for you californians, what is that inspection station on I-80 for just as you enter the state? I did see ALOT of diesels out west, most were dodges or chevys and they all looked nice. I probably saw some of your guys/gals trucks out on the highway.
p.s. - Sorry I didn't call you Runamuk, I wrote your number down and left it in my truck and forgot to put it in the car. Maybe another time when i travel that way.

They don't want foreign fruit being brought into the state, and with it foreign fruit flies.
Foreign being anything grown outside California.

Ok, that makes some sense. I figured it was an inspection station for cars and trucks to make sure they had all their emissions control parts still on the vehical. When I passed through the place was closed .
