17 here.
Don't have a CTD no more and probably won't have another till after I am done college. Most of my money is going to my Z at the moment, for the almighty 3800 Super Charged V6 for it. I still run a diesel everyday though, 1993 New Holland(ours) 785 w/ 3cyl Ford in it, My dad is the lucky one he drives a 1992 Kumotsu(sp) Grader with a 8.3 CTD in it(his works). That thing is loud as heck at the moment since the muffler rotted off and all he is running for now is about a 5 inch long pipe out the hood till the new one come in.

Us youngens (im 22) know how to finance. LOL. I figure I can build my rig now and build credit rather than waiting till Im 40. I see how others are doing it. Sucks for me due to the fact where I live. Im trying to save hardcore. Cant really touch a nice house for under 600k!

LOL... I like the attitude. At least in the worst case you can buy a 5th wheel and TOW your house around.

The ridiculous prices of houses these days. A milllion bucks isn't that much anymore...

im 16 and got my first diesel before my liscence. my dad convinced my mom to let me get it but my paying for it myself. ill be 17 in september. Firt interest in diesle trucks was from my uncle with his 01 that he blew the tranny in and then upgraded to an 03 6 speed that he needs to get a bigger clutch in.
p.s.
no one gets ragged on more than me, im a yankees fan in mass, i own a diesel that smokes and has more power than any truck around and aint afraid to show any of it!

I turn 23 in couple weeks. I would have guessed the average age around here was in the 40's, not the 20's.

Bought my first diesel at age 19. It was a 4300 IHC with an NTC 350 thought I new everything then, that was in 1975. I haven't had a spark plug engine for a daily driver since 1988. Thinking of old days remembering when there was no color tv.phones didn't even have a dial they had cranks. No seat belts and metal dash boards. Lucky us mature guys have made it this far.

18 Here. My 1st Diesel was a 1990 Ford 7.3 IDI It had over 700 000 kms on it but it got me from point A to well... A 1/2, not a very reliable rig. But Now I'm The Proud new owner of a 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 CTD. I intend on getting into Desiel Mechanics by learning off here, and along with A-Poc taking the Diesel Mechanics Corse at our not so Local Community College

38 and wanting a CTD since they came out, I used to be a Chrysler Tech and fell in love after the first test drive in 1989... I wish I had a first gen to mod and beat around in but these new ones are alot quicker stock. Been savin for quite some time and when I read about the 07 changes I decided it was time to take the plunge... I like ALL the earlier dashes better than the 06 though, my dash looks like DamChry needed to get rid of all the extra plastic and cheesy woodgrain they had in stock - Most of U guys are very lucky to be able to afford a CTD @ your ages!!
