I am 22 and wake up every morning with a sore back. I have been doing hard physical work (lived on a farm) since i was 11 or 12.

21 here, and feel older every day workin in the heat. I also like the older crowd here. I love getting info from older, more experienced folks. Never too prowd to learn from someone thats been there and done it. Plus like said before, nice family oriented site, that keeps all the bickering and smack talking to a minimum. I've been on a couple of sites where if you accidently type the wrong thing you get your rear end tore out. Lots of internet tough guys elsewhere. Its almost like one big happy family here, with people we've never even actually met.

I posted in the HELP section back in Jan '08 when my Dad was up here in -25 degree Winter weather, having issues with his '98 24V CTD. You folk's were great.
Sadly, my Dad just passed away. (June 11/09) I flew down to Miami, drove down to Key Largo and loaded his truck/35' 5th wheel and headed back North to Ontario, Canada. The truck performed flawlessly....................my Dad however, passed away in the Hospital 5 days later.
I now possess his prized possession. A 47,000 mile 1998 3500 CTD dually.
I lovingly just washed and detailed this beast.
I'II be honest.................I 've never owned a diesel and know very little about them. I have nobody in the area that I live in that works on "smaller" diesel trucks (or seems to want to and that's why I was here back in '08)
Please pass on any tidbits you may think of, Guy's. I want to maintain and preserve my Dad's truck. It will see no Winter's.
Thank You.

Roy Coneybeare
Sorry about your dad, sounds like he left you a nice gift though. Think about some gauges and start reading up on the 2nd gen forum. Most of the performance mods will help it last longer and perform better, not run it into the ground as a gasoline engine, so don't be shy.

I am 26 and have to agree with you on almost all counts. Except, take me out of the tractor pull and put me in my truck. With fuel costs and about 500 miles driven a week for work alone, truck is the pleasure vehicle. Really makes you enjoy it that much more

I'm 23 and enjoyin my younger years before they're gone. I like the fact that there are guys and gals of all ages on this site, and everyone has something good to offer.
