Austin, Texas CTD dealer repair shop/tech
I'm taking my truck to the dealer for the first time at 33k. I have the hunt 1-2 shift problem. I'll have them change the tranny filter and adjust the bands while it is there. And possibly the CTD valve lash adjusted?
I care more about finding a good diesel master tech than I do a shop close to my home. Bought at maxwell 620/Lakekine. Not talking about customer service, looking for the best tech in the area and personal experience on how he likes to be rewarded.
Small repair as it is, this is where I start looking for a CTD tech I trust!

I know a guy that I went to school with that now works at Maxwell Dodge in Taylor, TX. I don't know if he is actually a certified diesel tech, but I am pretty sure that he is. He has done work for me before, and he really did a good job for me. He drives a mid 90's GMC with a CTD conversion that he did himself, and it looks like it came from the factory that way. He is just a good ol' country boy, and is a super nice guy. I can PM you his name and other info if you are interested.
We have bought all our trucks since 2000 from Benny Boyd Dodge in Lampasas. They have a great diesel tech there named Gary. He has given me a lot of good information over the years and has taken good care of my trucks.
