AR15 which one
AR15 which one
I'm looking at getting my first AR15 and need some help picking one I like the Stag Arms and DPMS AR's. So I guess what I would like to know is if you had 1-1.5k to spend what AR would you pick (any brand you like) and why.

I would look at a colt. I like the M-4 variant myself. You can put a lot of cool stuff on them. Colts web site has the prices of the guns on it. I would also look at taking a loan out of the bank and buy an IR scope for the top.
go bushmaster. i have thousands of rounds of cheap ammo through mine and never had a feed issue or extract issue. it will fire everytime and nothing breaks on it... it has been the best made and most fun of a gun i have ever owned. no play between the upper and lower at all and is just fun to shoot.
which bushmasters are you guys taking about they have many different models so which ones should I look at and I would love to have a noveskeri but after I option it out I would be way over my budget and I just want a gun I can go out and shoot the crap out of it for cheap but also be very reliable.

The best uppers are from www.jprifles.com or www.mstn.biz. $1000 to $1500. Comes with an adjustable gas block and great comps, lightened carriers, and free floating with the top of the line hand guards.
1 in 8 twist seems to be the choice of shooters today.
A lower is a lower unless you are going to buy an enhanced lower. $125.
Lower completion kit $70.
A2 complete stock with spring and buffer $80. Joining the Gucci stocks club will cost you more.
Trigger $100 to $250 JP, Jard, Timeny, Accuracy Speaks. 2nd tear Rock River Arms. I would stay away from Chip McCormick my experience is they have proven to be not worth the money. (waste)
Optics and mounts $100 to the skys the limit.
Put this together and you will have an accurate and extremely fast shooter.
These setups are what the top 3 gun shooters are shooting today.
If you want a ghetto blaster Colt is the name and will hold its value better than any other.
Top tear Ghetto blasters Colt, Bushmaster, Armalite. Most others are 2nd tear, I'm not a fan of Model 1 but I don't know why.
If you are buying a short barreled carbine ghetto blaster try and get the mid length gas system. If you are buying a 20" rifle then it comes with the rifle length gas system.
Good luck

What about the Smith & Wesson M&P? I sure do like the looks of them.
I hate to say it but if you want something you don't have to clean, shoots all of the time and you can throw it behind the seat until next time then get an AK-47. Those can be had for around $400-500 for the cheap WASR-10's.

I have armalites and colts no complaints with either. I think most af the ar platforms are comparable nowdays I would compare warranties. I don't know about the rest but armalite has lifetime no questions warranty they will also send you the upgraded springs and stuff when they change something free of charge. They sent me the extractor upgrades for my ar10 and 15 free when they came out.
