April Showers...(pics)

....SNOW showers that is. Heading out to plow and thought I'd share the wealth. This stuff is HEAVY! Only about 5-6'' so far with over a foot predicted, but I'm not sure if the JD will even push this little bit---great for snowballs and snowmen, though Hope the power lines hold....
Happy Spring!

The snow missed my place by some 10 miles. Strange, but you head just South of my place and they're shoveling snow, but here, just rain... and lots of it.
Matter of fact, at one point I thought I could hear my neighbor, Noah, building something.

At the rate we were getting rain, Id have to believe that the local government would be delivering the wood and nails and complaining that Noah wouldnt meet the dead line if he doesnt hurry.

Rich.

Got about 4 inches at my house but just over the mountain less than 10 miles as the crow flies they got over 2 feet. I plowed my driveway with the Polaris this morning.

It started out as heavy snow here in Barrington NH, then turned to rain just late last night.

Now my basement is flooding and if I see another drop of rain in the next 12 months it will be TOO SOON!

We've had 24 inches this month, in 2 storms. They were were calling for 15-18 out of this one. It started as rain, switched to snow, and than turned back to rain late last night. We had about 4 inchs of snow before it switched back to rain. And now we've got about 4 inchs of rain, along with the snow melt this is going to make for a fun mud season.

All that SNOW being measured in feet is why I moved from PA to NM 5 years ago. While we do get some snow here in the mountains at 7K ft elevation, the sun comes out and it is gone in a day. We got about 6ins of snow from the storm now dumping in the NE. It was gone the next day. Weather here today was absolutely georgeous, temps right at 70*f. Our overnight will be about 38*f tonight and another 70*f day tomorrow.

I DO feel bad for you guys in the NE, I remember the same kind of Nor-East'er hitting us in PA back in the early 1990's. It dumped a ton of snow, something like 16ins each day for 3-4 days, real mess to keep plowed and shoveled. That along with the lake-effect stuff off Lake Erie was the biggest reason I decided to get out of the East. You need to go see the groundhog in Punxsutawney PA and have a word or two about the SORRY prediction you got this year.
