Thumbs up Anybody else Raiders fans out there?

I know I'll probably get a lot of flack for this but hey...they're undefeated in Preseason!

I know, I know...It's preseason but we will take what we can get!

After picking up Brooks in the off season I thought we were doomed (even though he still doesn't impress me much) and then when they signed Shell I thought...Here we go again, but so far so good!

Anyway, any Raiders fans please give me your thoughts on the season ahead. Thanks.

Note: sorry about posting that in the wrong forum...Must have had too much coffee!

If they can get their offensive line sorted out (and with Shell as coach they should) they have the potential to be really good on offense. Their D leaves a little to be desired however. I'd call 8-8 good. And that is with the Silver and Black glasses on.

My loyalties lie on the other side of the Bay Bridge having been born in the SF bay area, Niner fan for over 50 years

Having said that I did root for them when Madden was coach and Jake "the Snake" Stabler was tossing the ball to the Dave "Ghost at the post" Casper...

Raiders have always been an entertaining team to say the least

Too young to remember "The Snake" but my father loved him! Why can't we get a quarterback like him now?

Just hope this season doesn't turn out like the usual...you know...Start off hot then finish weak = 8 & 8.

Until we get rid of Davis I think it's gonna be a tough road.

I use to go to all the Raider games back when the Snake, Alzado, Tatum were around, and never thought much of Davis , but he is loved by all those guys and they want him to introduce them in the Hall. So Davis must be doing something right. I havent been back to a game since the Seat rights charges have started.

The raiders are goin 5 and 11 this season. Art Shell is just a band-aid, they will NEVER win another Title with Al Davis amd Aaron Brooks sucks (couldnt cut it on the Saints ). Preseason means nothing, they have talent but no heart or a leader. Lets see what you say when they dont win a league game this year. Sorry, Im a raider HATER!!!!

Raiders for life here! I must admit at the beginning of preseason I was very worried, but they are improving. Is Brooks the answer? I don't believe so, but it looks like they are going in the right direction this year. We will see. GO RAIDERS!

It's my experience with being a life long Raiders fan that people either love them or hate them. There's no in between.

For all you guys that hate them, I really think you're just a little jealous of the fact that when you try to buy tickets for a game where your team is playing the 0-12 expansion team they tell you it's been sold out for months! ....While we can walk up to the ticket counter the day of the biggest game of the season and still buy tickets because it never sells out!

The reason I hate them is because where I grew up, all the Homies are Raider Tuff. Let me explain. Raider Tuff is when you are one of the biggest wusses that walked the face of the earth until you put on a Raider jersey and roll with a couple of yer homies that are also wearing Raider jerseys. All of a sudden the three of you can kick anyone's a$$? Please. That's Raider Tuff. A bunch of cowards acting big because of a football team they probably know hardly anything about. If it weren't for your fan base, I wouldn't hate the Raiders nearly as much as I do. Basically I'm a fan of any team that beats the Raiders. No offense, but I love seeing 'em lose. Oh yeah, pre-season doesn't mean anything . Honestly though, yer never gonna have a legitimate season with Al Davis at the helm.

Rambunctious1, your are right on point. You forgot the fact that nearly all Raider fans cant even name 3 players on the team. Their fans also dont have much football experience. They were the kids that we either to wussy to play or thought they were too BAD for the teamin high school. (I played college, I know). This is why their fans are so retarded at games.

History has shown that teams going undefeated in the preseason almost never make the playoffs.
