the routine that most bodybuilders use, is a 4 or 5 day 'split'. for example: mon- chest and tri's tues- legs (quads, hammy's, and calves) wed- back and bi's fri- shoulders and traps. you can throw in a fifth day occasionally, and do some extra work on isolation muscles that are being stubborn (calves, bi's, traps, or tri's). total time for each session should be 1- 1/2 hours max. any longer without the 'help' that i mentioned in my previous post, and your work will be counter-productive and you will assure yourself of minimal or negative gains.
