Any body builders on DTR? Or anyone who just Lifts weights?
I use to be heavely into lifting I lifted around 11 times a weak I also use to do all the supplement stuff and to be honest I got so sick off it I just quit. I still lift alot and I am strong as ever mostly because I am not 20 anymore I am 25 and that has alot to do with it. Right now I am 6'3 242and need to loose a little bit I think.
I had the same trouble with routine, I lift chest-arms-legs-shoulders-back that is how I personally break it down, every month or so instead of doing my normal "heavy" weight I do a routine of 75 reps for every excericise for example chest is just a 10 on each side. This works very very well to shock the muscle try this I promise you will like it.

Here has been my schedule
Monday: Legs
Tuesday: Shoulders
Wednesday: Cardio, lately we have been playing racquetball, if you have access to a court I highly recommend this. I run around like a fool, this week I got all cool and salty feeling, almost fell out twice.
Thursday: Back /Bi's
Friday: Off
Saturday : Chest/ Tri's
Sunday: Off
I've recently (the 26th of this month) tried to cut just about all sugar, it is proving tougher than I thought. My diet isn't bad otherwise.

SHOCK THE BODY OFTEN!
Over the past few years I have turned into sofa slug and those days are numbered.
Here is what I did...when I was trying to break plateaus and/or improve.
Stop all the weights in the gym, make a harness and hook yourself up to something heavy and go like mad. Drag your truck, a sled loaded with rocks etc etc. If you are not keen on squats...this will not only hit the legs but it will define a new level of cardio.
Since you have been taking the same supplements for awhile, toss them too...try eating more protein, less stimulants like ginseng and Creatine [in my opinion] is just filler that bloats what you have. Others will disagree.
Get a speed bag and pound on that for an hour...again...more cardio with amazing results for energy in the gym.
Pick a goal and go to it. You have the sense to ask and research which is good.
You may have to try many different things to get past a plateau.
Have someone sit on you while you do a set of 20 push ups, then do another 50 without the weight. You will be amazed how the body can load up with real heavy weight and then use just your bodyweight. Conditioning/strength and endurance are all needed and should be balanced. I tend to balance everything at the extreme end of the scale. I am back at that now and I am 45 yrs old.
SHOCK THE BODY OFTEN!
And remember...always always S T R E T C H.

just vary your routine, and change your diet, its that simple.... no need to go hooking yourself up to your car and dragging it around the neighborhood. try checking out a good informative bodybuilding forum, if your trying to get big you need to eat big and lift heavy... simple as that
(remember I said it was proving harder that I thought?) I have a bitter battle inside myself over a particular Tastycake product. For those of you within the region, you may know what I am referring to. It is known as a Peanut Butter Kandycake.
I get up in the middle of the night and pound two packs of them, washed down with a glass of milk. They are the devil.
Are you using cycles with Creatine? I was doing 10 wks on and 2 wks. off. When I took it I would with grape juice right after the work out. It helps absorb into the muscle better.
Most of my training was for strength. I think you may need to take a break from the body building and work on a strength routine for a couple months.
Talking about this is giving me the urge to sign up at the gym again. When I stopped working out I was benching 395lbs for a set of 3. I don't think I could do 225lbs now with out hurting my self.
Have you ever read Arnold's book? If not there is alot of good info in it. Here is a link to the book.

just make sure you do you stretching after your workout, not before. about the creatine, i would say you're totally off on that aspect. also, i fail to see how sled pulling is going to "shock the body" if there is such a thing, a good 20 minute hiit would yield the same results.

Even the comment on the creatine was what my experience was and is.
I do not train for bodybuilding...perhaps I should have been more clear on that too. I have always enjoyed surpassing my personal bests...even the ones I set 20 yrs ago and I can still do it. I guarantee that there are lots of ways to Shock the Body into getting past plateaus, its more in the mind then the body.
To each his own.

Anyone who fails to see the benefits of strong man style training must have never seen Magnus Samuelson in action.
He's not an 11 time champ by accident.
Like the other have said, if you are cutting, high reps and isolation movements are fine. If you are looking to hulk out, HEAVY compound moves are where it's at.
Squatting works spots you don't even know you have. (and some you do).
