Another one bites the dust!
Another one bites the dust!
Just before noon I heard the shots, 5 in all and another one bites the dust!!!
I guess I should be thankful that it was not one of mine who was killed!!!
Police had the whole area encapsulized.
Why is life so cheap in my neighborhood?
I've done everything possible to protect my family, guns at the ready.....
Why do these people insist on killing themselves or others over trivial B.S.????
A shooting occurred in my neighborhood near enough for me to hear 5 shots!!! I suspect .38 special as per sound.
Someone please explain this to me.

.... there is cheap land in Arkansas and Missouri that will let you get your family away from there. Just don't wait until it's too late.
Let them kill each other off ... cleans the gene pool.

2. Welfare breeds poverty. Poverty breeds resentment and hopelessness. This makes membership in gangs and drug use/dealing attractive.
3. Violence always accompanies dealing in illegal contraband in proportion to the amount of profit involved. The WOD makes illegal drugs very expensive which would otherwise be relatively cheap.
Solution?
1. End the War on Drugs.
2. End welfare.
3. End the crippling taxes and regulations on business which causes jobs to be exported.

these kinds of people use to weed them selfs out, meaning there were less of them. Know we and the police have tryed to stop them from killing each other, they know kill each other but alot less then before.
It is the same way with the childen who are born with heart defects or other problems. They use to not make it, but know most of them live. This is why we have so many special need childern in our school systems.
Just my 2 cents.

When you're close enough to count the number of reports that's too close for my comfort with guns at the ready or not. How can you enjoy the outdoors? Families aren't meant to be caged up. I'm not being critical it just doesn't make sense to me that's all.

My mom used to live in a bad area in Denver. When I would go out to visit her I would have to obey all the rules. I couldent go out after dark and i couldent sit in front of the window, blah blah blah. The area was nice when she moved in and within 5-10 years it when threw the crapper. Police would chase people threw the back yard and helicopters would fly around with spotlights chasing people at nite. Tehy even blocked off the end of the road so you had to go back out the same way you came in to try and stop drive buys. Personaly you couldent pay me enough to live in a sest pool like that. Evidently she had enough to because abought 8 years ago her and her husband moved to a small town a long ways away. I often catch myself gripeing abought how boring small town (less than 1000 people) Iowa is but when I read of this kind of stuff and look back at my memories of moms house in Denver I decide life aint so bad here. I will NEVER raise a family in a area that dictates the type of lifestyle that has to be lived just to stay alive in an area like that. Personaly if i where you I would be packing rite now instead of telling us abought it. If you trully want out, there are jobs everywhere. You may not be able to make as much money as you may or may not be now, but your familys safety and general quality of life is worth a lot more than what ever toys you can aford living there. I work with a couple that moved out here from Bakersfeild Callifornia and I asked them why they left and they said because of crime and shootings. She had an uncle that lived up here and told them to come visit and see how green it is compared to there. When they seen that there was litteraly NO crime not just a low crime rate they went home packed up and move imediatly. They did not want to raise there 2 kids out in conditions like that. Now they live in a town of abought 2-3000 people and arnet afraid to let there kids go to the park on there own. Most people around here dont ever lock there house dores or bother to remove the keys from there cars ever. There just flat out is NO crime or violence to speak of. Sorry to hear the shootings are getting that close to home but if it where me I would be packing NOW. Jobs are replaceable family members are not.

I just asked an honest question expecting an honest answer and neither of your posts adresses my problem!!!
Obviously life or death in my neighborhood makes no difference to you( so why post?).
As to the rest of you who posted thank you I appreciate your responses.

However, I was speaking from the heart when I aluded to moving to the country. I chose to give up on the crime, danger and bad influences that tend to come with living in the city and moved my family to the country a little over a year ago. I got them settled in a nice quiet area where I have absolutely NO FEAR of letting my kids go outside to play from sunup to sundown. The school system is really into the kids and the lifestyle of the township is very down to earth. This is how I feel family life should be.
I could have brought them with me over here on my tour in Germany and many times wish I had... but I did what I felt was the right thing for my family. I refuse to let MY circumstances dictate what happens to my family. As the head of my household ... it is ultimately up to me.
