Aluminum repair

I've got a small aluminum boat that has a small gash in it. What can I use to repair this, without welding, prefer something like JB weld? The boat is only used in small ponds and isn't woth a lot of money.

If the gap is small, JB would probably work. Another product is Marinetex. I've had very good luck with that product.

I've seen the infomercials on TV about something called duraweld. Uses a propane torch. Don't know about that one.... Maybe something to look into.

A welding shop could probably hook you up pretty cheap tho, and that would probably be best.

If you don't use a motor on it I would just clean it up and silicone a patch over it on the outside.

Make a small patch out of aluminum and some stainless sheet metal screws.
Slobber it all up with 3M 5200 or marine grade Sikaflex.
