Almost christmas breakroom 12/11 - 17
Sorry to hear that, Bob.
I've been fairly busy with the new job I took in February. Put a clutch in a Peterbilt this summer mostly myself. Baled a bunch of hay, hauled a lot of feed. Something doesn't seem to be adding up, though.
My year to date pay is about the same as my W2's for the last two years. Yet I've taken 3 weeks off this year, a week and a half to go to Vegas in August, and another week and a half to go back to Pennsylvania for Thanksgiving. And I'm paying my rent now (which the old boss paid) and paying on a medical bill, comes to over $600 a month I'm paying out more than I did before. Yet I've got more cash between my pocket and the bank, than I ever did at my last job.
Somehow I feel like they padded the numbers on my W2s. For more write-off, and so I would think I was making more than I really was. Can't verify any of it though, because the pay stubs I did receive, had no year-to-date on them.
Of course it wasn't til after i decided to leave, that people finally told me I was working for about 2/3 the going rate for a farmhand, and others are getting minimum hours paid. Plus vehicle or gas, cell phone, room and board for cattle, etc.
The train ride was interesting, trouble is, it took a day to recover from being up all night two nights in a row, and with most of the trip east being at night, I didn't get to see too much.
