Alex Valera

Is a friend of mine and considered a member of my family.

He's the type of guy that shows up with his buddies,(my older sons), at 6 am, and welcomes their youngest brother into this world.

You could tell he was raised right, his heart always in the right place. He's the type of guy that I'd personally be proud to call my friend!!! And have no reservations about it!! He can have my truck, my house and my family and I would have no worries!!!

Alex died in Iraq Saturday. The U.S. Army deemed him worthy of serving in Iraq 3 months after basic training.

This is not meant to be a political post! But if you must I have copied it to http://www.all-politics.net/

Rick

P.S. Alex was 19 years old

Rick,
Theres not much I can do or say that hasnt been and wont be said again.
However, be it known that you and your friends family will reside in my prayers.
Duane said it pretty well. Im sure we all wish to express our thanks for your friends great sacrifice to all of us and same can be said for the price of Freedom that the family has to pay as well.

Rich.

Words are not sufficient. I can't imagine your (and his family's) loss.

Alex's body is scheduled to arrive tomorrow and funeral services are Wednesday.

Please remember that these young men and women are doing the work for the rest of us sitting here comfortably behind our computer screens.
