Trying to see who is out there in the N. Alabama area.

I have a job opportunity in the Jasper area. Actually Addison, but not many may know where that is.

Would like some help on a good place to live near addison though. Maybe a 20 minute commute at the most.

Any colleges in that area? I have been thinking about getting some managment classes to make my resume look a little better.

not far from me at all.....addison is where evrybody goes for trusses..pretty country out there, close to smith lake, not close to anything else...for colleges,,,,youve got walker in jasper,,bevil,i think still has something in jasper and also a campus in sumiton,a little farther drive has wallace over in hanceville.....most would go to one of these for starters, then transfer to UAB down in birmingham.you also have birmingham southern college in birmingham, thats where i work at in maintenance....the folks i know that live near addison live back right west of addison around duncan bridge.......and if you hunt,,theres some fine deer hunting in that area........bama

I'm in B'ham so I can't help you much. I think Bama covered it pretty well except for Green Top Bar-B-Que on Hwy. 78 just south of Sumiton and TD's fine furniture, just down the road from all those high prices.

What is the hype about Green top? My dad wont pass it without stopping. I wasnt that impressed with it. The best BBQ in AL is Pauls on 231 in Coal City out side of Pell City. Thats where I am from and that will always be home to me, good ole Alabama, god I miss it. I still make it over there every couple of months to visit family.

Green Top to your dad is like your folks living room is to you. It's familiar, not likely to have changed. There's a little pizza place in Ohio I can't wait to get to when I go home for a visit. I been eating pizza there since I was fourteen. They have moved twice, the origional owner died years ago but the pizza is still the same and so are the people. Green Top may hold a special place in your dad's memory. Maybe he'll share if you ask. Rick

Only thing I worry about with moving to ALABAMA is that it might rub off on me. You know, like if my sister comes and vists, will I try and marry her?
