well, it could if you have the time and money to do so... a couple issues back in the TDR mag, there was a short bit where someone put one of the 305/555 [03-04] engines in a 1st gen...

last time I looked there was one in the clasifieds on this site. A brand new 03 305/555 with all the wireing harness and computers. I wish I had the money I would buy it and find an older truck to put it in.
