5.9 Earthquake hit Central Virginia
Bounced me around pretty good here for a few seconds...I could hear some of my rifles banging together in a safe I was next to when it happened.....I was upstairs and the upper floors were rocking and rolling pretty good.
I felt the floor moving below me in Greenwich, CT. Wondered what the devil was going on, thought someone had backed a truck into a building support!
I have relatives in Boston, VA - which sounds pretty close to the center of this quake

Sorry for laughing, but I guess we are too use to it. Around here we pass out paper towels for all the spilled coffee.
No place on this planet is safe from earthquakes or other natural disasters. Know and prepare, that simple.
PS;
Don't dive under anything during an earthquake, it will make you just as flat. Don't get into a doorway, if the wall shift laterally your wall paper. Get next to something thick and strong. It will create a space you can survive in.

They (Chicago News) said the quake was felt here but I never felt the ground move today. i'm sure if it was felt our coal fired plants probaby tripped out...again. They trip if the wind shifts direction.
