A tire popped off the bead. It'd been raining for a while and my buddy and I were headed out to the bar (no I hadn't been drinking). My buddy and I thought it would a good idea to play a little with the truck coming around a corner.
First mistake. So, at the stop sign I cut the wheel and punched it. Second mistake. Truck slid to the right, then back to the left, and I recovered and had it going straight and then suddenly it whipped a 180* on me and slammed up against a curb and popped the tire off the bead. Thankfully, no one was hurt and other than the tire popping off the bead, nothing else was damaged. I knew I should have turned the comp off (had it set on 2x2) cause when I pulled out of my driveway the tires spun on me. It just goes to show you that no matter how good of a driver you think you are, these trucks can get away from you extremely fast. I had the truck going dead straight and was going fine and then it just spun on me. I'll have pics up as soon as they are approved.
P.S. I also forgot how small 265's are.

I usually have more experience with rain but since we've had about a millimeter of rain this year, it's hard to relearn that knowledge.
I'm starting to wonder what we're gonna have to sacrifice to the rain gods to get some rain.

I believe it. For one, dually's don't have as big a contact patch per tire in the rear as a SRW because the weight is being split over 4 tires instead of 2. Also, 315x75x16's with 3.54 gears and a stock auto isn't exactly a tire shredding combo. A stick also makes it easier to spin the tires.
A couple weeks ago me and my shop foreman went to lunch and we were getting on the freeway and I was going about 40-45 in 4th and I nailed and the tires broke loose, the truck got a little sidways. His eyes got the size of silver dollars.
I still got his feet imprints in the floorboard.

Also keep in mind that when it first starts raining, oil that has dripped from cars onto the pavement will float to the top creating a oil film on the pavement. Eventually the oil will run off, but that just might be another factor.
