Evening DTR
It's 1820 here now and the sun is still out! We had to turn the clocks forward last night. Looks like most of the week will be in the 40's, can't wait till it's warmer so i can get the garden planted.
Got some stuffed peppers cooking right now.

Greetings. Had a great day outside most of it.
Shoveled snow away from the house and cleared the gutters of ice.
bbq'd the steak and we all sat in the hot tub for awhile. Was a perfect day, no clouds, no wind and lots of melting.
I am sleepy.
I will try and ALTER the phoo00 with my eyes closed. The SEAL is currently approving it with some kind of a [censored]

Nice clear skies today, and just about three smarties cool out. Still in the lows overnight, but the sun finally has some heat. Spent the last couple days out there working on a D8R back in the weeds. New turbo. Amazing rainfall at -40 when the water cooled turbo blows an internal seal.
On the way to the job, turn left off the highway, alternator goes dead in the truck. None in town, oh well, call a buddy to get a used one. Go to put the phone away, it hits the gear tower and breaks in half. Job was already going swimmingly, and I was still 7.5 km from the machine. Oh well, at least the job went as well as CAT engineers would let it. Finished it up this afternoon.
Otherwise, alls well that ends well, making baked chicken for supper, while doing laundry and catching up with dtr. Oh, and searching for a new cab and chassis to replace my 01 550.
Have a good week people.

Pind, do you have any skin left on your knuckles? tough of the toughest, from your posts. I helped put two bolts in for a turbo cooler on a D-8. little hands make farmers work cost less. yup, replaced due to overheating....
don't know how you do it in those conditions and without people or parts stores around...
really cool guy in Palmer Alaska sent me an ebay item for free...won the auction, asked a question and blam! the item showed up with a very very nice note. won't really know if it is alaskans or musher related but hey- awesome surprise!!
out in a few hours for a low boy run (empty) sit around tomorrow while they tug it out of the flooded river bank. I may park downstream...

Nope, no skin on my knuckles.... ( knuckle-dragging mouth-breather) haha.
The rainbow was neat, that thing literally spewed 5 gallons of coolant out the exhaust, in the time it took to move it 100 feet, to where we could work on it. No leprechauns in sight though.. bugger.
The cold just means you keep working, do NOT stop for anything, because you won't want to start again. On the plus side, nice views all around where I was working.

If ignorance is bliss, why aren’t more people happy?

Morning everybody.
Was up extra early today due to your stoooopid time change. Yesterday afternoon we lost power for about a minute and when I reset my bedside clock, I used the time on my computer. This morning got up at what I thought was a bit later than normal, only to have my wife growl at me for waking her up early. On investigation discovered that the clock time on my computer had changed to your daylight savings time. We don't change for another two weeks yet.
In spite of the above, I am blissfully happy in Paradise. (OK Scott, see what you can do with that.)

Sure wish somebody would fix it.
